Nice
I think this is an ideal place to realize my plans. that's not my neighbor
Close to all
Was a nice spot for one night. Lush and pretty. Only downside is that it’s cramped and right on the road. It’s not a busy road, so was super quiet, but if you have pets or want to ride your bike or run, there’s no shoulder so you are in the street. Pool is very clean, though we didn’t use it. Staff is super nice. 1.5-2 miles from keystone and less than 5 to Rushmore.

Great tent sites
The electric tent sites are perfect. Has space for car and tent with a shelter for the picnic tables. Clean toilets and showers very close by. Staff and very nice and accommodating. Ice and firewood sales at the office.
Beautiful placement, tight spaces.
I stayed in July of 2022. This park is easy to find and to get to; placed on a valley road between mountains and near the 1880's train line. Great electrical, water, and sewer, for RVs. The smaller (tent and pop-up) spaces are awesome. My 20' RV and Jeep Grand Cherokee (about 37 feet total) just fit into the pull through site assigned me as 38 feet, but there was obviously more length to the site than that. The park is central to the surrounding area, and about 1.25 miles from downtown Keystone. Reasonable price for the area. Great hiking from right at the park. T-mobile outside of my RV was poor but sometimes connected. They do pack you in like sardines (the slide out on the RV next door to me was nearly over my picnic table), but there is enough space to get your business done and to enjoy yourself. Four stars because I am saving five for the one-percenters.
Wonderful!
Loved everything about this campsite! Super clean bathrooms and showers! They also off laundry, a heated pool and other amenities.
One of the best parts was our campsite had hiking opportunities all around us from beginner to expert.
This place is only like a mile to downtown Keystone and 5 miles to Mount Rushmore!! P.s. walk the presidential trail at Mt Rushmore
Great place
Beautiful campground, friendly staff.
A good base camp for the area
The family that runs it are very friendly. It’s a crowded place by virtue of the land. It’s in a canyon behind Mt. Rushmore. A creek and a scenic railroad run past it. All the RV spaces require you to back in, so you’d better be good at it. We had a tent site amongst others in a side canyon surrounded on three sides by very steep hills and rocks. Rather pretty. Did not get to see the cabins, but they are uphill, away from the camp sites. The showers are cramped but clean and there is a heated pool as well. Nearby is the tourist town of Keystone. Also in a canyon, the stores are on top of each other. The best place to eat is the Powder Lodge up the road. All in all, a good place to explore from, but not necessarily to hang out.
Great Location
I spent 2 nights here while in keystone exploring the surrounding areas. Easy access. Wildlife, curvy roads, food, and trails all close by. I was hammock camping so enjoyed the wooden canopies to hang it from. The pool was very refreshing mid-afternoon.
Fine place to camp last minute
We were looking for a campground in the area for a same day reservation on a Friday. We called in the early evening and they still had some spots left, very friendly staff. The forecast predicted some rain, so we wanted to find a campground that had some roofed structures at each site. The roofed shelters at each site don't cover the tent area, but we were able to connect our tarp to the side of the shelter and spread it over our tent for some extra protection from the wet. It worked really well. The campground has shower onsite for no extra charge, they were very clean and functional. The drinking water tasted strongly of chlorine to us, which was unfortunate. Another downside is that the sites are quite close together and not very scenic, so the experience feels more like a place for vacationing families.

Cute spot, close to Mt Rushmore!
Smaller campground. Clean showers and bathrooms. Close to town but feels like you are out in the mountains. A dinner train does go by and blows the horn, but not too disturbing.
Quaint, Relaxing
This is a beautiful location. An overnight stop for our tour of Mount Rushmore. Only about 20 minutes from the monument. We booked late in the day but all was ready for our arrival. We had a Back-In site that was very easily accessed. This location is worth repeating. For very large rigs with tows, it may be a bit tight in spots.
Great place for tent camping! Shelter houses on each lot. Veterans discount
Close to Mt. Rushmore ,Crazyhorse, 1880's train ride, Sturgis and many more attractions. It would take a week to see everything. Kemps has nice restroom and shower facilities and a pool.
Kozy Kampsite
Nice little campsite along the road, not far from Mount Rushmore! First campsite we ever stayed in in a trailer and it was great! The owners very very nice and extremely helpful! Beautiful scenery!
