First camp 2023
Was here in the past. Way nicer and so many inflatables for the kids and adults. Kart friendly and great spots all along the main strip, lake side and creek side.
Excellent Campground
As mentioned in other reviews, the road in can be a little sketchy, but I think it adds to the adventure and once you are there, wow. Owner meets you at the gate, very nice guy to talk to. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Tons of stuff to do with the kids. They loved the lake and everything there was to do on it. Kayaks, paddle boards, jumps, slides. Name they had a blast!! I even enjoyed the overhead speaker announcements. Added an old time feel to the campground. My daughters might disagree, but I loved not having cell service at all. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, we are trying to see if we can go back later on this summer.
Nice and enjoyable !
Great camp ground! Lake and scenery was beautiful! Very clean and friendly help! Very kid oriented!
If your bored here its your own fault.
TONS of stuff to do here. Very big campground, all kinds of sites. Reserve early for Holiday Weekends as it fills up. Lots of seasonals. Inflatable slides and such in the lake, hiking trials, playgrounds, all sorts of stuff. Is a little pricy but not as bad as other places like it I have been to. No phone service at all, no matter the carrier. Be advised it will seem a little sketchy getting in. The road dead-ends into the campground and it is all downhill getting there. Take your time and all will be just fine. Our rig is 39' & 16K. 4wd low helps, not cause you need 4wd just for the lower gears.
Everything costs extra
Austin lake offers plenty of fun with the lake. Kayaking, inflatables, beach, but almost anything you want to do will cost you am additional charge. Need to use the bathhouse? Better take quarters....bc the showers are coin opperated.
It can be a fun time, just be warned it'll cost ya. $$$$
Great Campground
Loved the campground! Adjacent to the lake. Multiple amenities close by. Plenty of activities for the family. Great family owned campground.
Great Family Campground
A little out of the way but worth the drive. Has a playground in every section, well equipped cabins, a swimming area with inflatables, kayak, pontoon, and paddle boarding rentals, a bumper boat area, small lake where you can fish and boat. Friendly staff who make you feel welcome.
