Beautiful place on the river
Gorgeous sites, lots of kids activities, pool, and close to Mingo Falls. Our site said it would fit a 32 ft camper and it really doesn’t; we had a super hard time getting in and thought we might have to leave. So just beware that your site might not be as big as stated. That’s my only reason why it isn’t 5 stars!
No laundry. No groceries. Staff/manager is rude.
We drove from California to the RV park. Stopping along the way in many areas. This was exciting to see this campground and read the reviews. Unfortunately it’s all fake. The staff is rude. The services are limited. No groceries at the store in the campground. No laundry services available. Can’t even hand wash your clothes and hang them on a clothesline because the staff specifically asks you not to and gives you a letter to DO NOT HANG DRY YOUR CLOTHES. Bathrooms are ok for showering. Bugs everywhere though. If you want to float the river you can. If you want to play games you can. Other than that the sites are very close together no privacy at all.
Sardines
Absolutely rocks with activities, BUT it gets packed and crowded. Had a good experience, just felt very commercial and not natural. To each his own.
Great hidden gem in the Smokies!
This was a fall destination for my family. We had a spot by the stream which sounded awesome at night, lulling you to sleep. There were several October themed activities and contests which were great fun! The facility was clean and well kept although the road leading up to the park left a lot to be desired, rundown shacks, garbage and broken down cars in yards. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The only thing I really didn’t enjoy was pulling the travel trailer through the mountainous terrain.

Great family campground
We camped around halloween and the entire campground has trick or treating for the kids on Saturdays. Clean, friendly and really great for kids. Would definitely go back.
Amazing Place to Camp
This place is by far my families favorite. We camp here every year. The campground is beautiful. The sites are clean. They have an amazing playground with an activity center. They always hold events for families. They have everything you could possibly think of. Staff is wonderful. You go long enough and they feel like family. Most highly recommended in western north Carolina. We love this place.
great fun for kids!
we were on sites 12,13 and it was great!!! kids have a blast, we were right on the river and hiked to Mingo falls. bathrooms were not the cleanest I have seen. but not the worst.
Great Views
Riverside sites are the best!!! Clean restroom/bathhouse. Staffing friendly and on top of anything needing attention. Book reservations well in advance.
