Any news on when Beartown will open for camping again?
Has anyone heard if Beartown will ever open again for camping?
Great place to hike!!!
Highly recommend checking out Beartown State Forest.
Loved it.
Exactly what you need for car camping. Extremely friendly staff with a nice swimming area. Must buy wood on premise which can be tricky when you have a late arrival. Probably the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever used at a state park.
Wonderful Spot!
A pretty spot near the Berkshires. This spot has rustic hikes and good swimming, plus relatively secluded campsites.

Many visits here to my "happy place." With only 12 sites, 4 of which have Benedict Pond access, it's a quiet, lovely site.
