Quiet picturesque rv park with a great owner

Located bayou side with open grounds is this very quiet, professional rv park. Very pet friendly, an accommodating owner and very clean everything made my stay here memorable.

Great fishing on the dock, wonderful cookouts and an abundance of friendly people made this one of my favorites.

Accommodating owner, low key environment

This spot is one of a handful of private campgrounds in operation after hurricane last August. Largely occupied by long-term stays, but had a few sites available when I needed something on short notice. Even though he didn’t have any sites available for more than one night, when I had some issues with my rig and needed another night so I could meet with a mobile tech, he let me plug in elsewhere on the property. Also loaned me a 30 amp to 110v adapter.

The campground itself is basic. Sites are close together. There is no shade. Full hook-ups available, but no bath house. However he does have a laundry room.

There is a dock and boat launch on the property.

It is located on a working canal with shrimp boats docked and traveling up and down the canal. There is a cannery right down the way.

Not picturesque in the traditional sense, but if you want to see what a working community is like, this is the place to be.
