Loved the hiking trails!
Beautiful state park with awesome hiking trails! The campground was just ok. No water hook ups, but you can fill your tank and there is a dump station. Sadly, there is no visitors center.
The center of the campground has sites that either back up to the. Amp ground road or back up to the campsite behind you. They are pretty close together. Great for groups camping together. Not so great if you want a little bit of privacy. We had one of the few semi private sites. Will definitely return to camp and hike here again!

Peace and Quiet before the Summer Rush
Very quiet time if the year to visit , lots of flowers and trees in full bloom where you can leave the doors open and enjoy the scenery . Great hiking and views to be found if you hike a little

Hidden Gem for Tent Camping (Site 11)
Nicely spaced out camp sites that feature the standard camp pad, picnic bench and fire pit. Camp in this corner site close to parking and one of the main trails. Site 12 is close to this one sitting back off the path and probably would be my second choice. Close to path that goes through Site 13 to pit toilets at the group camping area. Self check in was available in May when I was there with family. Close garbage can made for easy clean up, but did attract some wildlife. Shower facility was clean and available at the RV area, which you would be best to drive to. Water spigot available at site 10 just across the parking area and close to the trail entrance.
