Located next to the WEST entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, nested in the beautiful mountain town of Grand Lake is a quiet place to camp in the mountains. The campground offers spacious back-in RV sites, rustic cabins, and tent sites. We also offer a general store, 24 hour laundry, a TV lounge and game room. Grand Lake is a classic when it comes to mountain towns. With its wooden sidewalks and wonderful restaurants, it also offers swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, motor sports, fishing and, of course, the magnificent Rocky Mountain National Park with hundreds of miles to hike and explore. Great people and location
This campground is in a great location, close to Grand Lake and the other lakes surrounding it, and RMNP. The people there are very friendly and welcoming. They have a variety of sites for small and large trailers and some of them seem hard to get into, but they come help you get backed in and make it as easy as possible. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
Friendly and quiet
We arrived and were warmly greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic young man. Check in was easy, we had a great spot (RV33) which had privacy due to being surrounded by bushes on the sides between the abutting sites, and just a grassy lawn behind us. Not every site had this, and some of the sites were very open, close to the next site, not offering any privacy. We had E/W hookup, and the gravel pad was mostly level. The bathrooms and showers, located in the same building as the store/office, were very clean and in good condition. The rv portion of the campground is all on the side of a hill and mostly open, I did not see the tent sites which are located down closer to the bathrooms, so can’t speak to that. It’s a great location just outside the RMNP entrance and the little towns of Grand Lake and Granby which have stores and a handful of places to eat. We would go back if in the area again.
