The Arkansas River Rim Campground and RV Park is nestled along the Arkansas River in Colorado's "Banana Belt of the Rockies", the only park in the upper Arkansas River Valley that sets adjacent to the Arkansas River.
Looking for a spectacular campsite with full ammenities? Well Look no further! Whether you are a tent or hammock camper, Arkansas River Rim Campground will have the perfect spot for you. All of our camp sites feature a picnic table as well as a fire pit, so groups large or small will have no trouble roasting marshmellows around the fire or eating dinner together at the table. All of the campsites are backed against the forest, giving a more natural atmosphere, as well as giving you a chance to see plenty of cute chipmunks, cotton tails, and humming birds.
The Arkansas River Rim Campground and RV Park boasts a variety of amenities to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and efficient. This quiet, family owned and operated park promotes our small town atmosphere where good folks come to enjoy Colorado and return year after year to enjoy good friends. Cabin sleeps 2 people on queen size bed. This is a beautiful, knotty pine 'primitive' cabin overlooking the Arkansas River. No electric or water. Price includes use of bath house and all other park facilities.

Rates are for 2 people and includes showers. You may add people for $5 per person per day.

Very convenient off the highway, but then you get highway noise. Clean campground, very nice owner. We didn’t used the facilities so I can’t speak for that. Very fair price for FHU space with tree and picnic table ($43 after tax).

Pretty great campsite, the owner is awesome, a few miles outside of town. Wifi, showers, bathrooms, laundry. Off a main road, but Arkansas River is right behind and you can walk down to it from the campground.

Got lucky & reserved a spot here for two nights. Friendly host. Firewood was available to purchase. There’s restrooms, showers, and phone service! Also there’s a path that leads to the river. Would recommend & stay at this place again!
TravelerClean and simple
This is our home away from home. Just a couple of hours from Denver it becomes our weekend getaway destination. Jeff runs a great campground right on the Arkansas River. He keeps it clean and doesn't take any crap from anyone. Pricing is fair and the location is perfect. Just a couple miles out of town it's nice and dark. Only downside is the highway, you're only a few feet from 65 mph traffic.

GuideGood stopover
Proved to be a good stop over on our way to Black Canyon. The managers are extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. The campsites are close together but have some nice trees around them. So nice that you can walk to the river from the campground. People are panning for gold nearby. Bathrooms and showers are convenient/old, in need of upgrade. Nearby Buena Vista is a nice small town with lots of restaurants and shops. FHU 
GuideNo frills clean camping
We came up to ride the trails around Buena Vista and stayed here. The rates were fair and the campground was immaculately kept. The staff was friendly. You will need to ask if sites are available with trees that will accommodate your setup. There is a nice path down to the river . We enjoyed our stay at this quiet campground. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here very much! Jeff has the place in fantastic shape and is very accommodating. There are very nice full hook-up sites as well as beautiful tent sites here. Bathroom and showers are spotless, too. And, rates are very reasonable!
We are Colorado folks and know where to find great campgrounds. We always enjoy Arkansas Rim and highly recommend it!
