Beautiful, secluded spot
Loved this spot! It was very secluded, with lots of forest all around. Stayed here a couple years ago and enjoyed it so much.

Perfect campground for bigger group!
6 of us went up to little basin for a fun weekend during school! Perfect accessibility for people who aren’t as experienced with camping and has amazing trails ranging from easy-moderate-hard! Super friendly and knowledgable staff! The facilities were a little far, so if you need to go more often, I’d recommend choosing a spot closer to the restrooms. However, for us it wasn’t very inconvenient! While there are other parties camping nearby, it doesn’t actually feel like you’re that close.
Would definitely come back!

Quiet and beautiful campground
My boyfriend and I made reservations here back in January. We enjoy colder camping because it means less bugs. Oddly, our campsite and only one other group site was booked for the weekend we stayed. (Possibly from colder weather) Nevertheless it was a very clean and quiet campground. We hiked buzzards roost and that was a great work out to see an amazing view. The park in general is very beautiful, we drove to big basin which was about 15 minutes away and did a little bit of exploring there. Boulder creek is about 15 minutes away also for groceries. Enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Beautiful, calm campground just 5 min from Big Basin
This campground is truly beautiful. Instantly feel disconnected!
Campsites are spacious, and although it has some stricter rules than most SP campgrounds, they are very straight forward about them and it's easy to understand. Obviously, this is a great place for families, but I went with a group of friends (no children) and it was equally fantastic!
Tentsites 24-26 are the most removed, great if you like to feel alone in the wilderness.
Awesome family campground
This is a perfect family friendly, large campground. It offers a variety of individual tent sites, a few tent cabins and group sites as well. We stayed at a few different sites several times and while close to each other, they are fairly private thanks to huge redwood trees everywhere (awesome for hanging a hammock too!) . The campground has multiple amenities including a small general store, a playground, lots of space to ride bikes or scooters and there are some guided junior ranger programs and events on the weekends. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends during the summer months and there will be tons of kids running around everywhere. Weekdays and off season dates are much calmer. Mosquitos can be a nightmare!
Each site can fit up to 8 people, has a picnic table and a fire ring. All sites are fairly spacious and the trees give it a unique, really fun vibe. We particularly like sites 41, 42 and 43 that can be booked together for a larger group and all feature really cool burned tree trunks and stumps that provide endless hours of fun for the kids!
Note: alcohol is technically not allowed.
