Close to Hwy 140 park entrance

After November 1st, the office is closed and the RV park is on autopilot. There is no hot water in the bathrooms, which are not maintained. Site #125 had a faulty ground, so we used power from site #124. We basically were the last to leave on December 1st, closing day. The lodge next door has great wifi, a gift shop and a lobby with hot drinks. Location is very good for access to Yosemite.

Pleasent RV park on the way to Yosemite Valley

We stayed here in winter either side of 2 nights in Yosemite. In winter check-in/drive up bookings are in the lodge reception in the main village which is great as they're open all through the night. Power was good, showers were okay - hot but lacked pressure. Wifi is provided by a third party but was reasonably priced for an overnight stop.

Close to Yosemite

We stayed here so we could shuttle to Yosemite. The lodge next door is a pick up spot for shuttles into the park. They have a bar/restaurant and a store which is convenient. The park was nice & shaded, with fire pits at each site. We enjoyed our stay- it was quiet being the off-season. The showers did not have hot water this time of year. You pay for WiFi per day, which was around $10/day.

Close to Yosemite

Very close to park entrance. Tent sites are small and gravel. However the hosts are friendly, there are showers, clean bathrooms, good wifi, and you can use the resort pool. Great place to relax after a long day of hiking in Yosemite.

At the door of Yosemite

The campground is in a great spot. Ten minutes from Yosemite. The staff (one person) was very nice. We did try to call and email ahead of time with no response but they had plenty of room for us in March when we pulled up. The campground is right on the road but the traffic quieted down by night and we were in the park all day so it didn't bother us. We have a 20' trailer and fit fine, but no one was in the site behind us. It might have been a tight fit if there were.

Friendly place

Check in was quick, front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. Our campsite was a bit small but we managed with our pop up tent trailer. We had electric hook up Our camp site didn’t have a picnic table, but the front desk clerk was very helpful and quickly brought us a picnic table. After a long day of hiking in Yosemite it was nice to relax at the pool next door. We will definitely come back in the future.

Easy Gateway to Yosemite

This campground is a 45 minute bus ride from Yosemite Village. I sent an email the day before to check availability but didn’t get a response. I called the day-of and was excited to find they had a space with hookups, despite it being spring break week. Maybe the predictions for snow in Yosemite kept the crowds away? There were three amenities at this campground that were a pleasant surprise:

  1. The YART bus (that shuttles you into the park) stops at the hotel next door. It doesn’t run frequently, and we had to catch it really early (7 am), but it was $20 for a family of four (round trip), and that included admission to the park. It was so easy to leave the RV parked, not worry about driving in and parking, having no concern about snow/chains/etc.

  2. The Cedar Lodge next door has an indoor and outdoor pool available for the RV campers to use. The outdoor pool was closed for the season, but the indoor pool was heated to at least 100 degrees so it made our morning swimming delightful.

  3. The Cedar Lodge next door also has two restaurants, a bar/casual type and one slightly fancier. We ate at the casual one and it wasn’t great, but it was nice to have someone else make dinner after a long day in the park.

The folks checking us in the office were very nice and helpful. The campground has four unisex bathrooms that weren’t fancy, but functioned. There were a handful of shower stalls as well. The one I used had amazing water pressure and plenty of hot water.

We were worried about the proximity to the road, but there were almost no cars on the road for most of the night. There is no cell service in the area. The campground does offer 24 hours of WiFi for $9.99. We didn’t purchase, so I’m not sure how strong/fast the signal was.

Overall, we had a great stay!
