Nice Resort with a Pool
I spent May through August here. It is about 30 minutes to emergency medical care. There are quite a few long term residents. The people were nice but not overly friendly. Activities like bingo were offered during the cooler months.
Great stay
We stayed for two months. Very comfy. courteous staff.
Distant Drums-A Big Hit!
We stayed at Distant Drums in a full hookup site for six nights while visiting Sedona and the Grand Canyon. The park was clean and super nice! The sites were spacious but pretty open (not much shade). We had a site that had a perfect sunset view every night. This resort is easy to get to from the interstate, but we weren’t bothered by road noise. There’s also a casino adjacent to the resort, if that’s your thing.
Nice RV Park
Distant Drums is a nice RV park. Very clean and well kept. The motorhome sites are nicest as they are along the perimetef with a view. The large 5th wheel sites are tighter and make up the middle of the park (back ins) and the front of the park which are pull thrus but very small yards. The grounds are always well kept. They have a larger laundryrokm and a small gym, pool and hot tub.
Beauty in the Desert 🏝️
When we arrived we brought the rain with us. That was a truly blessed thing because they haven't had rain in a while. But Distant Drums RV Park it is beautiful. It has a pool a family room full laundry, showers and bathrooms that are immaculate, a weight room, a library with massage couch, swimming pool and beautiful lights almost like Christmas.lol!!!! This may be our favorite Park so far, after many games of foosball and air hockey. They have concrete pads with full hookups and a picnic table. We had a back in site but they helped us back in. The staff is amazing and the place is beautiful. We highly recommend.

Very upscale
Very clean very upscale. Great amenities definitely do again
Upscale & Remote with Desert Scenery
Worth it to stay here even if you are planning to spend a lot of time in Sedona. The drive getting there is beautiful. It’s intentionally remote but off the highway near a large Casino and a Sonic. Lovely hiking trail across from the main entrance. Very smooth pavement, exceptionally landscaped with expensive plants like olive trees, very clean, paved sites, and great amenities. The hot tub, showers, gym, laundry and dog park were clean and well planned. There are desert views in all directions, but I particularly loved my large pull-through site 110. It’s on an interior corner and has the sweetest olive tree and great subset views. What most impressed me was the staff who escort you to your site and do a great job cleaning the sites between guests. The pavement was freshly blown and the gravel was raked in perfect rows upon arrival.

Beautiful
This place was spotless. Beautiful walkways that were lit up it felt like you were walking through an upscale neighborhood at night. Pool and a dog run which is always a plus. Carrie at the front desk was helpful and friendly and Roxanne escorted us to our spot and saved us an afternoon argument by guiding my husband backing into our spot. Just wish it was closer to Sedona.
Clean, Organized, Friendly Staff!
Although you don't get much of a change in elevation to have cooler weather. Its a little cooler than Phoenix or Tucson as far as temperatures go. The staff is so nice and help you right when you pull in, including helping as you back into your spot. The trash pickup is a nice touch as well. Just leave the trash in a bag at the edge of your site and they will come by and pick it up. Park is very clean and organized in the layout. Its only 30 minute drive to Sedona and the drive is pretty. Worth it and enjoyable. We will come back!
