Nice big sites!
We went to Carefree with a group of friends and it was a nice, clean park with several amenities. Unfortunately we had a brand new site that had never been used. The dirt/gravel we had to drive through to get onto the pad was so soft we had to use 4wd to get over the curb and through it. All the electrical boxes and light posts on that street are located close to the curb to boot, so there are obstacles trying to park from the skinny street. We liked our site once we were in, but it was tricky to get in, and we had to back out and go over the patio a bit to get out because our tail swing would have hit the electical box. Not a good design. The other issue I had with the park was at least 20 pages of rules for a one week stay. They needed copies of our drivers licenses, dog records and signatures from both of us. Maybe thats normal, but we have never run accross that before. The last issue was they require a laundry card for their machines. You purchase it from a machine in the laundryroom. Unfortunately it was broken and they dont have spares in the office that you can buy, so I had to drive a few miles to do my laundry off site. I lost my five dollars as well and they wouldnt reimburse me...said I had to call the number on the machine and be prepared to hold a long time. Not very good customer service...they should have refunded me and had the company pay them. Overall, I think its a nice park, a newer park and the sites are nice and big, our experience just wasnt the best. There is lots to see and do in the area, and we enjoyed our time there.
