    Three Forks, Montana

Missouri Headwaters State Park Campground, nestled near Three Forks, MT, is a solid spot for those looking to experience the beauty of the Lewis and Clark National Forest. This campground is open year-round and offers a mix of tent and RV accommodations. It's a convenient stopover, especially if you're passing through on the freeway.

The campground is known for its picturesque surroundings, with nature walks and a paved bike path that take you down to the river. While it's not right on the river, the nearby marshlands add a unique charm to the area. Just be prepared for mosquitoes, especially in the warmer months. Bug spray is a must!

Amenities here are pretty basic. You'll find a well-maintained pit toilet and a drinking water station, but don't expect any electric, water, or sewer hookups. Some campers have mentioned that the sites can be a bit small and lacking in privacy, but the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the campground make up for it. There's even live music on weekends, adding a nice touch to your stay.

If you're into fishing, the nearby river offers some good opportunities. And for those who enjoy a bit of reading, there's a little free library on-site. Just keep in mind that cell service can be spotty, so it might be a good chance to unplug and enjoy the natural beauty around you.

In summary, Missouri Headwaters State Park Campground is a decent choice for a night or two, especially if you're looking for a simple, nature-filled camping experience without too many frills.
