Well looks can be deceiving. This may not be the pretty campground but it certainly has a good personality. Cell coverage was marginal and frequently was roaming or 1X/3G. The grounds do offer a free Wi-Fi but it was no more reliable than cellular coverage. We prebooked online and self served when we arrived. The bathrooms were actually quite nice and the showers were great. Bluff doesn't offer much for entertainment but is close to great sites and hikes. The sites are first come first served and are large pull through with full hookup options. The electric is 30amp or 120v only.
We stayed in a self contained RV or tent site. We arrived at 6PM and the store was closed and a sheet was posted with our name and site number that also informed us if we didn't check-in first thing the next day we would be considered as vacating and our stay canceled. Not only was the store closed very early but when we arrived the next morning we found the store was operating on Pacific time despite the near by Navajo nation and Utah being mountain time but that was not listed on any sign. The RV/tent loops are very far from the camp store/welcome center. Showers are at the camp store building far away from the tent and contained sites which need it more than the full hookup sites. Showers are a process unto themselves, first the sheet and email confirmation said a 15 min shower but has been changed to 8 (understandable due to water shortages) so the signs need to be updated. You need small bills to get tokens to operate the showers then you have to buy 2 tokens for one 8 min shower. We chose to share a family shower and split time to save on the shower debacle. The campground is in a great location being close to Lake Powell, GC Dam, Page, and many other sites and hikes. Sites are roomy back in not pull through. Each loop has its own bathroom house.
Zion Campground and RV park is perfectly located on the Springdale side of the park. Near the park entrance, visitor center, and all of Springdale. The spaces are spacious and provides all the necessary hookups. It does offer a small pool shared with the quality inn. New cabins and what appears to be a new office are being built so there is minimal construction going on. Showers are available but only last 6 mins and are token operated. I assume that is due to local water conservation efforts. The showers are not great, they don't have anywhere to set your stuff down, no soap shelf, the drains all run together so your feet are in the water of the shower next to you, the water pressure from each shower head is different some blast the filth off you others trickle down. Its probably a touch over priced but overall it is a good campground with plenty of amenities and is in a great location.
