Labor Day

Spent two nights here, lots of traffic but not enough to bother!

The only thing to dislike is the washboards but any reasonable suspension you’ll be fine.

2 nights of the best stay

Woke up on the first morning pretty much alone on a Tuesday after Labor Day, fishing happens but the lake remains nice and quiet. Night two had snow and woke up to some white caps. Will be back for sure!

Silent night on Christmas Eve

Woke up on Christmas Eve to the most beautiful sunrise. This place is amazing with first come first serve spots. I was fortunate to get a great spot and even got a hot shower at the main building.

Just passing through

Found this on the app. Showed up and it’s totally slept on!! I will be back because I regularly drive through the area on my way to Arizona.

I felt safe. There was bathrooms. It was quiet for the most part.

There is limited parking but it is December and I was vehicle 2/2. Picnic tables and I slept through the night well!

Right next to everything

Easy drive. I stayed in an early part of the trail but people were pulling trailers higher. Plenty of spots to camp. Fire pits and trails to hike. No service with Verizon which made it more incredible.

Safe for car camping

Stopped hear from driving fatigue for the night. Glad I did. Plenty of spots to choose from & friendly waves from other campers (RVs, busses, cars).

Be aware there is a lot of noise from planes and trains but not enough to keep me from my sleep.
