Water was gross and stinky from ships pumping their bilge.
Small rustic. Because we couldn't get into the campground at sleeping Bear.
Okay. Sites are small and close together. Didn't like the swimarea or layout of the park
Huge park with three sections. Terrace is the best but hard to get. Lake side sites. Nice facilities and camp store. Lake Charlevoix sunests revival the Carribean. Breathtaking.
Camp here offseason so the facilities were closed but still a nice campground, great beach, hiking trails.
Great state park. Nice facilities, huge sites. Beautiful hiking trails to the falls. Brewery has good beer.
A few great sites on the river, sites are close together. No ranger so expect noise.
Most beautiful place in Michigan. Favorite sites are right on the shore which is rocky. There is a shallow sandy swim beach. On calm days, I can't get off the water for long. Reminds me of the Carribean with all the islands in the bay. If you have 4 wheel drive, go to fossil beach. No showers, pit toliet, electric at some sites
Nice park but the only thing we saw about swimmers itch was on a billion board outside the bathroom AFTER we had already been swimming
Great park with beautiful views of Lake Superior great facilities. We were there when the simple berries were ripe can pick them right off the bushes all over the park. Great place to stay while exploring the Porcupine Mountains. Swim area right outside of park enterance.
Beautiful lake with great facilities. Sites are bigger than parks in the lower peninsula. Ask the rangers where to go to look for moose.
They're hard to come by but if you can get a site right on the river, it's gorgeous. No facilities. Great kayaking and fishing.
Rustic camping off two tracks throughout the area. We never have neighbors! Lake Michigan rec area is adjacent with beach access and trails to walk. Hamlin Lake at Ludington State Park is not far and has an interpretive canoe trail. If you need showers you can pay at the corner store on the main Rd. No facilities, bring a shovel.
I believe the only dark park in Michigan. Beautiful expansive night views of the sky from the beach. Worth sleeping on the beach during meteor shows.
Great like camp ground. No swimming but pretty lake with lots of lilipads and sunken tree. Nice hiking trail.
