Beautiful family campground

Our site was right along the river, the view was amazing and the site was huge. There is so much to do. We should have looked into a pass to do more because the extras can get expensive. But everything is right there and you never have to leave so it's worth it in my opinion. The pool was great, the kids loved the water slides. The mini golf when we went in 2019 was in a little rough shape but it was still fun. They may have fixed that by now. They always have a lot going on and no one should get bored there. The playground was really nice. The bathrooms by the river were a little run down but it's camping so they served their purpose. I recommend this place to everyone and look forward to going back soon.

Wooded retreat

We stayed in a lovely cabin here while I was in town for work. My husband enjoyed the pool with the kids during the day and when I was there we enjoyed shuffleboard, mini golf and hiking together. The cabin was clean and well maintained and the cabins are at the top of the hill but that made for a beautiful view and we felt like we were away from everyone else. I wasn't as fond of the camper sites they seemed kind of close together but the cabins were amazing.

Fun with rowdy Raccoons

This is a very nice campground, we were able to get a group site with friends along a wooded section. Every night we were visited by raccoons, they stole our trash on the first night but the other nights we kept everything out of their reach. There were fun little raccoon hand prints all over though. The pool was so nice it wasn't too crowded and the view over looking the "lake" was so pretty. My only complaint is they could have used more restrooms and showers but everyone was very courteous and was quick about it. Thre game room was small but the kids loved it. I would definitely recommend staying here and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Family friendly so much to do

We camped here in 2019 and fell in love. It's a great campground with so much to do. Lots for kids of all ages. We had plans on going into town for activities but there was so much to do we spent most of the time in the campground. We swam in the lake and pools. We loved the paddle boat ducks and swans. The kids had the best time at archery. We watched them feed the fish at the lake in the morning, that was such a fun experience. I've never seen that many fish that big up close. The tent area was right next to a hiking trail which the kids loved exploring. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We can't wait to go back

Get in touch with nature here

This state park is beautiful and I consider it a semi-hidden gem. It's our favorite place to tent camp. It's rarely busy and it's first come first serve. They have tent pads which are nice but we have a 10x20 tent so we pick a site that the pad is flush with the surrounding ground. There are bushes and trees between the sites and it feels very private. Sometimes it can feel too secluded but the park ranger drives through a number of times. They are always very friendly. There is no electric but there are spots to get water even placed throughout. The bathrooms are clean and we've never run into any issues. There is some nice hiking here and lots of nature to explore.

Nice wooded sites

We have stayed here with family before and had our first RV stay on our own this fall. Beautiful campground, most sites are wooded. We had a sewer site so I'm not sure how the bathrooms are. Lots to do if you want or it's just as great sitting around the fire relaxing or getting ice cream at the store. Our site was along the main road and we expected a lot of traffic, but it was actually pretty quiet. There is a petting zoo, jump pillow, and regularly scheduled activities. Can't wait to go back next year!
