Super convenient and Harvest Host as well.
Perfect for a one night stay our site (18) had full hook ups (they all do!) but we didn't need them so the site was free for Harvest Host members. FHU was available for $15 which is less than half the full price for a regular campsite.
Easy in-out gravel sites with grass all around. Good spacing. Danny is super friendly.
Texoma Park is just what we needed.
Pulled in, filled the fresh tank, dumped the others and found a parking spot for the night.
Excellent electric hook ups (although it appears there's one station out of service).
Playgrounds and picnic areas, dog park.
Yes, there's a train that ran up till about 10pm and returned at 3:30 am.
As a parking lot it got seriously hot before sun down but cooled off nicely over night (late June).
We would definitely stay again.
Full hook ups available. Some have no sewer hook ups. Most are 30 amp, many are 50 amp. Sites range from full sun to full shade. Quite a few annuals. Might have given 5 stars but both pools are shut down and it's HOT! Lake is accessible- about half a mile down a private road. Interior roads are a bit rough. Mini golf, shuffle board, horse shoes and playgrounds are available.
Dogwood Springs in Jasper AR is definitely rustic and unpolished with regard to its setting. RV sites do have full hook-ups although we had an issue with the sewer draining properly on site 31. With only one bath room each for men and women and one shower each as well, they do provide the basics. We had an opportunity to peek into a cabin and we were very impressed with the set up, having a full bath and mini-kitchen. It was well appointed and inviting.
The lay-out of the campground is a bit odd in that some sites are only accessible by driving through another.
The view from site 31 included that of Round top mountain but also vacant, declining commercial buildings near the campground.
Proximity to stores and restaurants in Jasper was handy.
