We had a lovely mid-week stay. The camp site had beautiful tall trees, fire pit reflector gratea and great birds all around.

ThIs is a lovely campground with a beautiful beach, new pay shower and bathrooms. We enjoyed swimming and fishing.

This campground is in a state of ruin. They had a storm back in March which closed one loop. There doesn’t appear to have been any maintenance since then. The portable toilets are disgusting, there is garbage all around the trash bins and the cabins were used for a house party on the Sunday night we stayed. They had fireworks and Bass was thumping until about 1 am. No rangers until this morning when they checked our tag. Should probably just close it down and call it done.

This is an elbow to elbow parking lot of a campground. All their campground rules were unenforced, so it is a dri king party atmosphere. The bathrooms are unclean (with paint pealing off the walls) and the showers were cold in the afternoon. The opulent homes around it make this a surprisingly depressing campground.

The skunk was very friendly and cute.

We had site 57, near the small creek. Should have been great sleeping with the babble of the brook, but it was drowned out by the drone of trucks on the freeway. The bathrooms are heavily used and not very clean. There are some nice things to see in the park, but you do have to pay $16 to hike on the Gorge trail.

Although Blackwoods is busy, the sites are comfortably secluded. The facilities are clean and the staff friendly. There are no showers in the park, but private showers just outside ($2 for 4 min).

We found a beautiful, secluded site was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms and showers are brand new and very nice. We will be fishing in the pond shortly. There is a large common area in the middle that was great for paying catch.

This campground is the number one rated in Vermont for a reason. The staff were wonderful, the sites are pristine and picturesque, the faculties are decorated with wildflowers. We met a number of AT through hikers, who were very willing to share their adventure stories.

We had a site on the lake that allowed us to park our rental kayaks right at our site (24 hour rental allowed for early morning cruises). The lake is a great size to explore with children. The showers were wonderful and very clean. We don’t recommend going there on the weekend as the clientele was loud, playing bags, drinking heavily and playing music right until we asked them to stop during quiet hours.

We attempted to set up near the lake, but found the wind to be overwhelming. We ended up in the corner site by the woods. The bathrooms and showers were nice and the staff were very helpful.

This is a wilderness area campground. The sites a beautiful, but there are little to no amenities. The only water was from a hand pump at the far end of the loop, near the pit toilets. Loved this place.

We had a good site in loop M. The bathrooms and showers were some of the least clean we have ever seen. The check in building had a fire and we never saw any employees.

The park itself is lovely, with lots of water activities. The camp sites are very open and connected to one another by grass.
