Deer Run Campground offers nice campsites for smaller rigs. No Class A's for sure. Sites are nice and private but there are no views of the reservoir. However, the Cedar Springs Marina is less than a mile down the road. There are vault toilets and an occasional water spigot. They don't offer recycling waste cans. There is a camp host on site. Cell signal was about 3 bars.

We are traveling in Scoop our 26' travel trailer. We like rustic campgrounds, but expect to get the services as listed on campground websites. Cedar Springs in a National Forest Campground run by a third party concessionaire. The website said the campground was open and offered vault toilets, water spigots and a dump station. We were going to need a dump station visit so chose this campground over many of the others available in the area. Cedar Spring also has good reviews online.

Upon arrival the campground was about half full, but no water was on yet, the dump station was closed, the camp host had set up, but was not present and the vault toilet cleaning logs said baths had not been cleaned for 6 days. We stayed even though the rate for basically no services was $23. We had stayed the previous night at a forest service campground in the Black Hills that had cleaned baths and spigots that worked for only $10. This campground needs to offer a lesser cost for off-season level of services.

Gripping over, site C offered a beautiful view of the reservoir from the picnic table. Most sites are best for smaller rigs, tent trailers and tents. There were only 4-5 sites that would accommodate our 26' trailer. Because the campground is on the side of a hill, sites are pretty unlevel, but we were able to adapt. Cell signal was good here and we were able to pick up 10 TV stations with our antenna. If you have a dog, watch for burrs, there are some nasty ones.

Today's goal was to visit Devils Tower. We wanted a low cost campground in the trees and Reuters fit the bill perfect. It's about 20 miles from Devils Tower, just outside of Sundance, WY. Direction to campground well marked and access easy in our 26' travel trailer. This no-frills campground has 24 sites mostly for smaller rigs or tents, but a few were perfect for our size. Looked like staff had just finished painting tables and buildings and vault toilet facilities were very clean. Water spigots were already on for the season, but no host was there yet. Beautiful pines shaded all sites. Had 3 bars of cell signal and picked up 10 TV stations with our antenna. Would definitely recommend. Cost $10.

We are heading west and chose this campground for a one night stop. It's about 20 minutes off of I90. Good thing we were following GPS because there was not a single sign for a campground on SR47. They are not big on signs in the park either as once you pull in there is no signage pointing to campground entrance, boat ramp or day use areas so of course we ended up having to turn our 26' trailer around at the boat ramp.

check in lady at gate very nice but told us wrong direction to pull through our site. We got it figured out though. Our site, as most, had electric with picnic table, wind block screen and fire pit. Most sites were pull through which is quite convenient for us trailer people. Lots of space at each site, but not much shade. It was beautiful spring weather for us and no wind, ideal conditions.

Bath house was immaculate and had plenty of stalls and showers in ladies room. Water spigots were available and interesting to operate. The hubby had to ask someone how to turn on.

Most sites have water view and our site 12 had unobstructed view. Shoreline is steep with rock rip rap to climb down to water. There was nice playground area for kids and a 9-hole disc golf course.

I have to say it is always nice to stay at a state park in the off season. There are a couple hundred sites in this park and we were one of about 12 occupants. Even if this park had been full, the sites offer nice space. Sites vary from full shade to wide open out in the sun. Bathrooms are clean, but they are pretty spread out. Most sites offer electricity, but no water or sewer hook-up for RV. Water spigots are pretty spread out too. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. I didn't see any camp hosts that sold firewood when office is closed. Park is located right across the street from the local high school, I thought this was sort of odd.

We were just passing through for a nights stay, but it looked like there were some nice trails for hiking. The children playgrounds looked nice as well.
