Great dispersed campsite with views of canyons!

I might not have stayed in the exact spot mapped out but the area has pull offs all over the place for camping. Each one has a fire ring and has spectacular views of the canyon its all inside.

Wonderful Site, Very Full, Great Views, No Fires

Stayed on a Thursday night and reserved one of the last spots online. I wish I had picked a spot on the other side of the road to have a better view into the canyon and of the sunset. Beautiful site, but very busy. Could hear the bathrooms flush and others conversations all night. Also no fires, CHARCOAL only in the grills they have provided. No issues overall.

Fourth of July Weekend

My boyfriend and I stayed here after a long day of hiking The Narrows. We enjoyed the stay because the ammenities were great, each spot had a picnic table and an electric hookup. WARNING it’s a gravel lot, so if you don’t have a sleeping pad it will be rough, thankfully we had ours! Also, the bathrooms are single stalls and also have the showers in them so sometimes the line backs up - even in the middle of the night.

Great American Eclipse Camping

My boyfriend and I spent a few days at the LBL recreation area. We stayed I. A primitive spot in the north east corner of the island. We were able to be on the water, have our car close by, and be far enough away from neighbors. The downsides were the roads were a little hard to navigate because of poor signage, also the closest store was in town so it was a far drive if you forgot something. One cool highlight was the buffalo park, check it out if you go! https://www.thetravelingtacos.com/trips/the-land-between-the-lakes

Rainy Weekend Chasing Waterfalls

My boyfriend and I enjoyed every minute in Cloudland canyons even despite the pouring rain that never ceased. But we didn’t let that stop us hiking the West Rim Loop Trail and camping at the Walk In Campsite. We loved the views, waterfalls, and walk ability of this park. Would highly recommend for anyone in the Tennessee/Alabama/Georgia area!
