Nice campground along the river

The best thing about this campground is it's proximity to the Colorado River and Lees Ferry Boat Launch. We floated/kayaked our way from Petroglyph Beach down to Lees Ferry and camped here after. The campground is on a little bluff with the Vermillion Cliffs on on side and a view of the river to the other. It's beautiful! We were comfortable in our tent even during a little rain and lightning during the night. There is multiple nearby trails for hiking and Paria Beach along the river to get your toes wet, although you won't be going in too far as there are some light rapids in the middle of the river. This campground has 1 bathroom facility (no showers?) In addition to a sink for filling up jerry cans, etc… with potable water. Many sites offer shades structures over tables but sites are still relatively close together. There are a few group sites in the middle of the campground. FYI The park rangers check up on the campground often. We were here on a Tuesday night in September and the place gets pretty busy (likely 75% full) however, we checked it out on a late Friday afternoonnand it had multiple spots open. I only gave this place 4 stars due to the lack of showers and privacy between sites.

Camp next to the water!

You can't beat this location. Camp anywhere you like on the soft sand and along Lone Rock Beach on Lake Powell. No amendities or hook ups except scattered vault toliets around the beach. At the paved parking lot and before you first hit the sand there is a pinic area, bathroom, and outdoor showers (like those you see at the beach).

We had plenty of room to pick a spot along the shore on a Saturday afternoon even though there were a bunch of campers, RVs, and day visitors. We were here after Labor Day so it wasn't as busy as it normally may be. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is that the water was super low and there isn't much privacy even from a distance. But this was one of my favorite spots I've ever camped!

Nice secluded spot in the woods

This site offers dispersed camping along forest road with drive up sites. The site had a fire ring and was near a trail that offered about a 15 minute walk (or 3 minute drive from the road we came in on) to a vault toliet bathroom. There were a few other campers in RV's and camper shells but we never heard or saw them from our site since the sites were so widely spaced. If you like a private spot under the stars and surrounded by large pines then this is for you.

Pretty campground amongst the aspen and spruce trees

This campground was closed for the season but we walked through on our way to hike the Lost Hunter Trail with our dog. A camp host and other staff were still present at the campground. The campground was lovely with all the aspen and spruce trees throughout the whole area. Sites have fire rings and a BBQ pit. Bathrooms and water spickets are also throughout the grounds. This is black bear country so there are signs reminding campers to store food in their vehicles (not in their tents). There is also an additional interpretative hiking trail in the campground called the old ranger trail. This has some good info for adults and children alike. This looks like an awesone place to stay that allows you to be close to Duck Creek Village, cool hikes, and Navajo Lake.

Nice place to stay with a dog

The campground is small and clean with 1 restroom (no showers) and located next to the reservoir. The site was beautiful and scenic from all sides. We tent camped for 2 nights. Each site offers a shaded pinic table, fire pit, and tent pad. Most other sites are within eyesight but for a campground we felt that we had enough distance (plus the shade cover) to give us some privacy. There are no trees or hardscape to keep all sites out of view but there are lots of karge creosote bushes. There are trails and easy access to the reservoir and watercraft rentals (i.e. jet skis, paddleboards, kayaks). The staff was friendly too. We enjoyed our stay and loved how dog friendly everything was.
