We stayed here back in the summer of 2019. This was the only place in the area that had a site available. Yard/sites were well kept and looked nice. Our site was small and cramped but thankful that it was open. They only had porta potties, no showers. We had to go to another nearby campground to use their showers. No full sewer hookup. Only water and electric. Was not sprayed for bugs. Mosquitoes were terrible. An older couple owns it. The gentleman was helpful and somewhat accommodating, but a bit grumpy at times. Our stay was ok, but more than likely will not return to this camping site.
This review is based on our stay back in July of 2020 during the 4th of July Holiday weekend. Lots of shade. Campsites were pretty level. Bathhouse facilities were very very clean and well kept. The campground is beautiful and rather large. Lots of sites for every type of camper even lakefront sites. The only drawback with State Park Campgrounds is that there are no full hookup lots/no sewer hookups.
The lots were not very level so the set up was a bit more difficult. Had to use several leveling blocks. We had to purchase extra hose for the sewage hook ups as they were situated further away and were also a bit uphill. The bathroom facilities were ok but not great. The showers were cramped and small. The campground itself is in a beautiful woods setting. If you have kids there is a ton of stuff to do there. Overall things were pretty nicely kept up though.
Nice beautiful campground situated in a nice woods setting. Sprayed for bugs so the bugs were not much of a nuisance. The camp sites are a nice firm gravel and pretty level. We didn’t even have to use leveling blocks. Facilities were very very clean and well kept. The owners are awesome and very friendly and super willing to help if you need assistance. We are already booked up for next year. 😃😀
