Bathroom was very clean. My site was large, site 7. Walked other sites and most of them were nice. Plenty of space between sites.
Stayed for 8 days. Arrived for first night on site 7. It had alot to be desired. Although it backed into the woods as soon as we stepped off our steps it was on the ledge of the pad. We moved the next morning to site 9. Site was much better and with a little more room for hanging out. Electrical hook up was on the opposite side of where they should be and in the middle of the small area. Water pressure was good and there was sewage hookups. Overall the full hookup sites , though we're not horrible they are very out dated for the newer larger rigs. Tent are was super nice and the area with just water and electrical could use upgradeing. Plenty of hiking trails but many are muddy messes due to being shared with the horses. If you are camping you have to pay to use the pool at the lodge. Also there are inflatables in a lake, also must pay. Outside of the veiws the highlight of our stay was when we treated ourselves to dinner at the Mountain Creek dinning room. You take a tram ride down and if you eat you get to ride back up for free, normally $7 per person. They have put put, horseback riding swimming pool, and at the lake. A nature center and. hiking trails. Overall had a nice week and recommend the park.
Enjoyed our site. Camped next to relatives and had the perfect swimming area between us. Planned on fishing but never got around to it since we spent most of our time inthe water. Bathrooms were veryclean and staff at office very friendly.
park sites were good. trails along the creeks. fishing available with GA license. site floods during rain but quickly dryes up when rained stopped. nice museum and grounds sorounding the fort. we found some pottery in the marsh we turned into the park. would highlyrecomend
we stayed during spring break . no fire rings but they will bring a fir pit to your site. pool was still closed due to it still being chilly. sites were really close. they do have a small store. cabins and full hook up sites are available. new owners said a dog park was in the plans in the future. grounds were well kept a dog bath and clean bathrooms and showers. good base for day trips to water falls, Cherokee, or Maggie Valley
camp sites are nice with lots of room between other sites. can be reserved 11 months out. good fishing and swiming. prepare your site for ants they will get into everything if not.
nice trails, our site was really tight but was reserved sight unseen. enjoyed the paddle boats.
Ok if you have never stayed with horses you can not be prepared for the flyes. they were swarms of them. there was a old timey band that played the night we arrived. trails were nice and lots to see.
All sites but three were pull through with three primitive sites. Bathhouse was clean. Trails were pleasant and the bridge and falls were awesome. Main campground closes for 3 months but the equestion side stays open. make sure you are coming into park for the correct campground since campers cant go across bridge.
reserved a site on spur of the moment after i found one on the water and 50amp. once arrived at the park determined all the sites, but 3 were good and on the water. the trails were good but the white trail needed some maintance. did a tour of the museum and grist mill which was very intresting. park staff were super friendly. lakews alot bigger than i expected but there are rulles about what motors are allowed. over all super nice and very quite park. support our state parks to help keep them maintaines and open.
awesome park, plenty of sites. have to pick and choose not the best for getting in and out of. we had a 36 ft. wheel and got in our site. plenty to do, beach , trails, fishing, great for bike riding. playground.
getting into site was very difficult due to angle. once in we loved the park. excellent views while hiking. very well kept. park ranger and neighbors were extreamly nice. would be 5 stars if easier to get into site
nice campground , need to use something for ants or you will be covered up in them, including from limbs touching. nice lake swimming
nice and quite on the lake. not a big crowd in march.
nice campground, trails were good sites to close for us. very busy campground. long line for dump station.
nice site and campground. highly recommend if you like to fish. convenient to shopping and Gatlinburg. nice trails
nice place to boondock. was able to get my 36 ft 5th wheel into site 1 with no problem. some other sites would have fit us but were occupied. nice little lake to fish and some short trails. nice and quite. no water or electricity on the sites
We stayed for the weekend so we would be close to relatives for a visit. The sites are nice and paved with full hookups. There was even a dish at are site for satellite. Nice paved trails for hiking. They have equestrian trails. Golf carts are also allowed. There is a creek and pond. Small water park and play ground for little ones. Great price for full hookup at $30 per night and senior discount is offered.
