We live not to far from this park. It is pur go to park for a quick weekend get away. There is a lot of shade and it is a very flat Park, which makes bike riding easier for my kids. We spend a lot of Time on the gravel bar and in the river.
We are in town for a softball tournament and decided to camp for the week. The mosquitos are awful. The site was a decent size and had a lot of shade, which was nice.
It is a large, yet quiet campground. They have 1 loop with electricity, so it can be hard to get a site in that area. There are lots of trees and the river is close by. New bathrooms after the flood are super nice. My kids love being able to ride their bikes all over :)
One of my favorite campgrounds. Most of the sites are right on the water. It is well maintained and clean. It can be hard to get in, but worth the effort!!!
During the summer this is a float camp. It does have a family section and a party section… they are quite a ways away from each other so noise doesnt seem to be a problem. My family and I visit for the Halloween weekend. They have trick or treating and fun fall activities. The bathrooms are clean, bring your quarters if you want to take a shower:)
My family spent 7 days camping here. The location was great…It is an easy park to get to and it is not crowded. The bathrooms and entire campground are clean. The owners have bikes around the campground that you can borrow. The owners are so sweet and helpful. We look forward to returning here to camp.
