Great value with weekly rate. Beautiful pool, hot tub, library, pickle ball and so many activities. Spacious sites, FHU, so well maintained!!!
This is an extremely well-maintained park. Campsites are nice sized and well spaced with some shrubs and trees. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Beautiful pool. Management is very accommodating and efficient. Covid safe.
I am not sure why it was listed within Good Sam but we were unable to get a good Sam discount. 47.50 is a bit more than we are used to paying as full time traveling RVers.
Nice size campsites. A fair number of trees. Right on the beautiful Colorado River. Clean bathrooms.
Well run park. Decent size sites. Hot tub, pool and laundry. Super clean showers, hot. Bake goods for sale daily.
If you like resort-like campgrounds, you will not be happy here. It was a good base camp for us to explore Death Valley National Park. The manager, TJ, does an amazing job of keeping everything well-maintained. The town is sketchy. JJ’s barbecue was excellent food. The visitor center was very helpful. There is a nearby Denny’s and Subway within the casino. Bathrooms were clean. Burros frequent the campground at night. Clean laundry facility, reasonable.
Campsites are fairly close together but not a crowded campground. Good base camp to do Capitol Reef and Bryce. Nice to be able to fish so close to campsite. Nice bathrooms! The small general store in Antimony is a fun stop. Propane available nearby. Nice cafe in Koosharem!
Planned to be there 3 days, stayed 10. Beautiful location, great facilities, superior maintenance. Ranger was friendly and efficient. Spacious campsites with picnic tables, fire rings and trees. A few quaint towns nearby and a decent size town for any needs. Nine Mile Canyon and the Wedge were fun to explore. Good museums, lots of area history.
Proved to be a good stop over on our way to Black Canyon. The managers are extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. The campsites are close together but have some nice trees around them. So nice that you can walk to the river from the campground. People are panning for gold nearby. Bathrooms and showers are convenient/old, in need of upgrade. Nearby Buena Vista is a nice small town with lots of restaurants and shops. FHU
We have been in Colorado for a month and this is the best Campground yet! Well managed, clean, spacious sites, FHU, laundry. Bathrooms were Covid closed. Exceptional customer service. When we wanted to extend our stay, the manager went out of her way to find a way that we wouldn’t have to move our trailer from one spot to the other. It was very appreciated. Highly recommend!!!!
Boyd Lake State Park provided an opportunity to explore Rocky Mountain National Park over a week’s stay. It is about an hours drive from Estes Park on very winding roads. There are some parts of the park that have more trees than our site had. Bathroom was clean although the power outlets didn’t work. Did not use lake. The adjoining town of Loveland has everything you could ever ask for as far as food and shopping.
The campsites in this park are small although there is a skipped campsite between each one because of Covid so that was nice. Roads and turns within the road are quite tight for larger RVs. There were some motorhomes in pull through sites. Campground gate house is manned only during daytime hours. Gate house attendant was very friendly and helpful. Restrooms were very clean, $.50 for four minute shower. We had only a couple of days in the area and so we’re on the go all the time, saw the Buffalo, saw elk nearby and enjoyed the ride up to Golden gate Canyon State Park. The community of Golden is a fun visit. Very conveniently located to I 70 but far enough away that noise from it was not an issue. Water and electric. Good price for being a high tourist area.
We would return if we were in the area.
A nice campground located on a beautiful lake. Several first come first serve sites that were wooded. A welcome find on a Saturday night without reservation. Nice bathrooms and showers, fire pit and picnic table. Conveniently located not far off I 80. Dump station and clean water are just before getting into the park on the left side. A well managed and maintained park.
Very Nice sites. Many shaded. Only one shower room for campground, a drive from most sites. Pit toilets for rest of sites. Nice lake.
The sites in the pines are very nice. They have fc/fs sites. Spacious sites. Nice facilities.
We are heading to Colorado from Michigan so this was just a stopover, one night. Very much like this park and will be back when we have more time to enjoy it. Spacious sites, good shade.
We were here for a couple weeks during Covid. Nice sites, cafe that delivers, a pond and a lake, wooded lots. Very nice management! Will return. Works well for small rv like ours or big rigs. FHU. GS
This was an exceptional park! So well-maintained throughout. The trees are beautiful and the sites are spacious. Hot showers. Close to Savannah and Tybee Island. Verizon worked well. Good hiking trails. We will return!
Suggestions: Have quarters available in office for washer/dryer. One more dump station might be good. Found standing water around dump station.
This was a good find! Our campsite looked out onto a very pretty lake Mcintosh. The owners of this park are generous and gracious! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving potluck dinner in which they provided the meat and potatoes and stuffing. The social hall and deck are very welcoming. Bathrooms are spotless and showers hot! Customer service is evident here, everywhere! If you need privacy between sites, this park is not for you. It is a pretty typical layout for a private park. Extremely well-maintained and friendly.
Perhaps we were spoiled in our camping experience just prior to this in Magnolia Springs. Campsites here are close together and some of them unacceptably so! Sites four and five are literally next to each other, questionable if there was room to even put out our awning. Also sites 13 and 14 were the same way. We had planned to stay for a week but 13 was our assigned site and it was awful. We left. Young people in the office were gracious about a refund, however not apologetic. Perhaps they don’t realize what it is like when you are on the road and needing to be sure you have a spot for Thanksgiving weekend. Fortunately, we have found ourselves in a wonderful little private park about an hour from there. Guess it was meant to be. Restrooms were very nice and clean.
So many great campsites and so many of them waterfront! Well maintained. Excellent gatehouse staff. Good hiking and boat launch.
Highly recommend. Lots to do in the area. River walk, canal boat tour, great art museum.
Good food and shopping nearby.
