Nice level sites. Cool fellowship activities and really the nicest people we have met!
So here during the Rock and Gem festival so it may not be representative of all times. Not too crowded but a little road noise at night if you are close to plamosa
Great place and great staff so nice and clean
This is just a gravel and dirt parking lot at the trailhead for the bird sanctuary. It has several large water holes when it rains. BUT as long as you know what to expect then it does a great job as an overnight.
This was supposed to be just a rest stop. We had so much fun and did so much mountaineering that we never rested! Climbed to the kiva cave and saw ancient pictographs and amazing wildlife. Nice clean sites with good power and water. Restrooms fine just a little dark. Staff was helpful and just awesome! Wi-fi available but not at our site. Signal too weak
Very nice park! Close to town but still quiet and relaxing. Clean sites, laundry and restrooms. Many seasonal folks who were quite nice and the staff is awesome! Love how clean the facility is and the mature trees. I may just extend my stay.
This place is all about the location. There are three entrances and the parking lot runs parallel to the highway. Easy for trailers and RVs to pull in a single line and hang out for the night. There is a toilet facility on site with urinals for the men and composting toilets for both men and women. No water available out here, but there are several interesting historical markers as well as trash, cans, and picnic tables. I’m hoping we get to see some lights tonight.
This was a great two days. It’s a nice area with plenty of nice folks. The lady who runs the place is very friendly. I paid $45 per night for a pull through site for hook up. Stayed two nights in early December 2022. The bathrooms were out of service at the time but like I said it’s free for hook ups. Lots of things to do in the area whether it’s shopping in the cute downtown or exploring Fort Davis, which has been partially reconstructed or going to the observatory or state park. The views in the wildlife or worth stop.
Very nice and clean park. Quiet and beautiful. Walking trails well maintained.
We enjoyed this place from the first phone call. The staff as well as the other campers are so friendly! Neat activities and a beautifully maintained property.
OK so I don’t often gush like this but I cannot say enough nice things about this park. Paved roads, clean sites with good power and water everything is surrounded by mature oak trees and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They really take the time to get to know you and they are very helpful and accommodating. This has made the short list of places I want to come back to as a destination
Such nice folks! The cafe is being remodeled and I will certainly stop when I come through. Mix of back in and pull through. Clean with a few long term folks who are friendly. 30-50 amp and full hookup that’s affordable. Near highway but I didn’t hear it.
Very nice place and maintained well. Super clean. Spaces are pretty tight and maneuvering takes attention.
There are about 20 spots all for 40 feet total RV leaks. Requires an approval from staff at the travel center. For what it is it is a nice safe break with a potable water station and a dump station right there
Very nice folks here but mainly all seasonal for the best sites. Terrific views and plenty of beach access.
Some of the nicest people we have met yet. Helpful and accommodating. Lots of improvements over the last year they said, and it is really nice and clean! New bathrooms and laundry center.
Nice spot for families. Neat stuff to do. Friendly staff. Only negative was lack of enough sewer necessitating a $12 pump out. But at least it is available. WiFi is sketchy with low signal and frequent drops.
Nice place. Very friendly staff! Site was well maintained and level. Mountain Views and several streams, fishing and putt putt. The only shortfall was the bathrooms which were really hot. But it’s full hookups so….
