Nice get a way

This quaint campground is convenient to the bustling Charlotte metro area, or just relax for a few days in this small , historic area. Sites are not plentiful or level and it is tight backing in, but the campground is well cared for. Two trails as well. We love this place and will be back.

Beautiful, peaceful area.

First time here. Camped 3 nights and loved it. Nice, level( and plentiful) sites. Great facilities. Only downside is it's difficult in most areas to access the lake with your kayak. We certainly will return!

Enjoyable spot.

We loved the mountain like setting right on the lake. Large camping areas that are spaced apart nicely. Plenty of lake access for kayaking and boat fishing with boat landing. Not aware of a swimming area. We will revisit.

Secluded.

Entry road very rough. This is an older campground that needs work. Shower house very clean. Campground host nice. Not many campers because of a cold weather which is why we did not check out the park.

Great day trip.

Visited this past spring. For us it's a nice day spot for fishing and kayaking. Camping available but spots (withshower house) are limited. Still a nice spot for day trip or stop over.
