If you like a crowd, go north from the freeway. If you want secluded dispersed sites, go south. We went just a mile south and found a great spot just off the road, which is well maintained. Incredible views. We did see a scorpion.
4 wheel drive is definitely needed if you want to get to the lake. The spots that are motorhome accessible are right on the road which was very dusty and very busy on a Friday night. It made a great one night stopover after visiting Hoover dam, but I wouldn't want to stay there any longer.
There are actually 2 separated rv parks at this casino. The saguaro park is $5 cheaper and is basically a parking lot with hookups. The other has some trees in between parking spots. Bathrooms/ shower/ laundry well maintained.
I don't think this area is knob hill but we found a great spot out Wee Thump Rd about 1.5 miles of the highway near where the pin is on the map. Road was decent for our 2 wheel drive 31" motorhome. It was nice to have some shade from the Joshua trees. We took the third dispersed site. All 3 that we saw were quite large. Great for any size vehicle. Verizon service was great. Nice secluded area.
