Open campground with no shade except for the wooden structures over picnic tables. You are right in the middle of the rock formations with excellent views. The bathrooms were well-maintained with pay showers. The only drawback is that for pop up campers your site is a small, narrow, pull off of the campground road. We, in our very small pop-up, barely fit. However, there was a large grassy area next to our picnic table. Also, in summer, the sunrise is at 4:15 AM :-)

Clean open campground with little privacy. Well kept bathrooms and water pumps throughout. Short trail leads from campground to the limestone cliffs. Once darkness hit the fireflies in the forest were magnificent!

Small campground with sites a bit close together, however, the nearby creek and abundance of wildlife, as well as the views from the campground entrance make up for this. There are 2 water pumps with cold water and the vault toilets are extremely well maintained.

Campground hosts were helpful and sold firewood with a drop box to pay.

Showers are offered for $2 at thr nearby Bear Lodge, not 5 minutes away.

The Burgess Picnic area is within walking distance and has beautiful waterfalls downstream.

Beautiful, park-like, large campground with mature trees and nice bathrooms with showers.

But not good for swimming. Beautiful sunset views. Showers didn’t have hot water but bathroom was fine otherwise. This is a very large campground.

We stayed during the last few nights of walk-up only camping. Pit toilets were rough but did have hand sanitizer. Water available at center point of campground. Easy beach access from nearly all sites. Flies varied from nonexistent to intolerable, depending on the wind. This campground was so quiet and beautiful. On our last night a storm blew in and demolished many of the tents and other structures along the beach side. The sites with the best views were hit harder bc of a lack of trees. Beware. No cell service at campground but is available at the Sable visitor center approximately 20 minutes away.

Great, short walk to beach access. Lots of activities on bayside as well, including kayak rentals and put-ins. Two large, clean bathrooms with showers at Shady Pine campground. Recycling available and dumpsters in good order.

bathrooms were good but the bathroom entrance was hidden and it made me wary about the kids going alone. the pool, playground and bouncepad were nice and there was no road noise, however, a train honked early in the morning.

it was nice overall but in an industrial area off the beaten path a little.

very nice, clean bathrooms, along with a clean pool, playground, basketball court, and jump pad. only drawback was interstate noise which was significant in a pop up. well stocked store on site.

sites are a bit close together and most are shaded but there ain’t much privacy in between. bathrooms were nice and new but no showers. ice was available from 5-6:15 pm daily. great views of the mountains and very close to Estes Park. we found it an excellent starting point for our adventures!

each site had its own bear locker and all scented items, including food was stored there. this made cooking a little more difficult but was fine overall. it is close to the park boundary and we heard music from weddings on Friday and Saturday nights but it ended at 10 pm.

it was also possible to walk to the Fall River Visitor Center from the campground by going across s bridge that goes over Fall River.

excellent, new bathrooms with pay showers and a laundry facility. There is no shade here which was brutal during the afternoon but as soon as the sun went behind the mountain things cooled off quickly.

lots of nice, well-marked, scenic trails in the park. our kids liked the nighttime view of the city and plains below best of all. each site had a shared picnic area in addition to its own picnic table. very nice!

we got a site right on the lake and it was beautiful! It was a windy day so despIte the heat It was pleasant. swam in the beach area which was small but clean with cold water.

bathrooms were clean and new with nice pay showers. I would recommend driving up into the dam and walking on it. very cool!

when the sun went down the stargazing was incredible! saw at least 40 satellites and several shooting stars. saw a calm gray rat snake looking for food and had nests of baby birds in the trees overhead. loved this place!

BeautifIl campgrynd but too crowded and no enforcement of rules. Bathrooms were terrible. all shower stalls face each other with no curtains. smelled awful, stall doors barely closed. we have stayed in many state parks and this was the worst.

swimming area was ok but no rule enforcement. dumpsters overflowing.

campground was clean, quiet, with playground. Bathrooms were clean. 15 minute drive to the Mississippi R. boat ramp was cool to see! we changed sites because of close neighbors and were accommodated helpfully. the best part was the blue grass music at the Shelby General Store. so much local, authentic fun:)

no showers but bathrooms are clean and updated. campsites on loops without generators feel like you’re alone in the wilderness. bugs weren’t too bad and you can walk about 200 yds across the street to the ocean. lots of great hikes in the park within 10 minutes drive.

the campground was normal with nothing special, however, the park continues across the street and onto Maine rocky shoreline with access along the water which makes the entire thing more than worth it! the town is also quaint and everything Maine with ice cream on a pier and lobster boats galore! I’d go again!

we chose this park for the nice pool (short walk from campsites) but loved the synchronous firefly show we saw in July! sites didn’t have much privacy and bathrooms were small and outdated, although adequate. showers were found at only 1 or 2 of the facilities. beautiful place!

we stayed in th smaller of the 2 campgrounds. bathrooms were clean and had individual rooms for showers which is like a 5 star hotel when camping. it’s an easy walk to the dam and up to the lake with amazing Mountain View’s. laundry center on sIw t and lake beach swimming a short drive away. we’d go again in a heartbeat!

it is an easy .25 mike walk in to th platforms that are on the chattahoochee river. there are a few trails that are easy and follow the river, along with a nice playground. nice visit!
