Loved it! Great trails nice lake very quiet in November! Only weird thing is the showers only have one temperature for water…it’s warm water.
Clean sites, hot showers.
Friendly lady who owns it. Very clean! Right on the water in a town that seems safe. Walking distance to a beach.
We were there during Thanksgiving week and there were only two other campers. Clean and warm bathrooms. Level sites.
Level spots, electric, water and sewage hookups, huge field for you to walk your dog, Casino within walking distance or you give them a call and they come pick you up. Also within walking distance is a gas station and Family Dollar. Quiet and friendly. Make sure you tell them about the $18 billboard or you pay full price.
Kinda bumpy pulling in… if you rig has low clearance take it slow. Pilot Gas Station just north a few miles has propane but no dump station or showers.
Very friendly folks working there! Many of the campsites are waterfront sites. Dolphins and manatee swim alongside your kayak. Adjacent island for hiking. Less than a mile from the ocean. In a quiet part of Florida. Not close to stores, though.
Running with the Route 66 theme, this area is really cool! Sleep amongst the dinosaurs and teepees and cruise the rock shop in the morning! Located at the entrance of the Petrified Forest, this is a quiet spot at night. There were four other campers and each of us had a picnic table. We were on the gift shop side but the museum across the street also has spot and theirs have electricity (they have locks on them but I think you go into the museum before 5pm to have them open them and pay for the electric?).
Loved our site! It was huge! Nice walking trails and close enough to town that you could ride your bike. I did not like the laundry options. The machines were fine but resented that I had to sign up for an app and add my credit card info to that app for it to work. Had to add a minimum amount and now I can’t find another campground that uses that app so I’m kinda out of that money until I find another laundry facility that uses this app.
Close to town and near a busy road but the bathrooms are clean and campsites are level. Small sites but fine for a few nights stay.
Rusty does a lot to keep this little rv park a cool place to visit. She’s built trails and has goats/birds that the campers can interact with. Showers are lovely. The gathering hall and laundry room is clean and inviting.
Plenty of room between spots with space for my cat to come out of the camper and feel comfortable. Far enough away from the road makes it quiet. Plenty of dirt roads for us to ride our bikes.
We were able to easily get our RV there and tour Tombstone during the day. Quiet…close to road but road isn’t busy. It’s basically just a parking lot at a trailhead. It will do if you are looking for a quick spot to lay your head. There were other campers…we felt safe there.
Stunning area and views. Plenty of easy dirt roads that we were able to take our ebikes on. Good sites…but watch for rain in the forecast…the desert floor turns to mush and you might find yourself stuck until it dries out. Our 30ft RV had no issues maneuvering around. Plenty of other campers around too.
We showed up just before sunset on a Monday evening and there were still spots left. Our 30ft RV had no issues pulling into the area. Each spot had a fire pit. We got up the next morning and headed into the park with no issues. The southern part of the park isn’t as cool as the northern but it was a relaxing drive up to the northern area. Highway was far enough away that we didn’t hear it.
