Loop of primitive sites along Hwy 7 providing access to Ozark Highlands Trail. Not much to look at, listen to hwy traffic. Serves it’s purpose
Busy with floaters in the springtime. Tent loop on short bluff along “long pool”. Great swimmin’ hole, shower house for floaters and campers. Great little waterfall in hollow about 1/2 mi up river on creekside trail. Used to be an old high water cable crossing and footbridge (50 yrs ago) only the anchors remain.
great class II-III whitewater floating.
Arkansas’ first and most popular state park. Lake with rental boats, trailer and tent site loops, lodge/hotel/cabins. Outstanding natural features, some of which are easily accessible. Very popular in the fall. Big waterfall with rugged trail to the bottom. Can’t see it all in a weekend!
Trailer hookup sites next to C of E boat ramp, adjacent to numerous covered picnic sites and 3 playgrounds. 2 large pavilions for rent. Just below Dardanelle Lock and Dam in Russellville city limits. Adjacent to city soccer complex.
A few campsites by a steep boat ramp on the Arkansas River. Little access to water.
Nice facilities with 3 campground loops, gravel bottom creek (Sylamore Creek) swim area, small spring fed lake stocked with rainbow trout, but the big draw is the Blanchard Springs Caverns tours. Outstanding! Great place for all ages. If it fills up in peak season, head 6 mi upstream to Sylamore Creek campground.
State park with swimming pool in summer. Playground and swings for young ones. Several hammock friendly sites. Hang gliders frequently use the bluffs to launch. Beautiful views of Arkansas River/Lake Dardanelle.
Campsites are close together with little privacy. Several rental cabins as well.
