I'm a summer camper. My boyfriend and I started camping last summer and loved it so much we're planning new sites every summer!

Tons of shade

Drove through on a "scouting" mission. There is not enough sun spots for me. When I camp I prefer a just about even mix of sun and shade. This is a good spot for people with OHV's since its close to the trails and then some. Thinking of maybe doing a day trip just to go fishing :)

SPOOKY!!

When we pulled into this site while on a scouting expedition, it looked really spooky to me! Trees were all creepy looking. Tons of shade. Only two spots had lots of sun and one of those two was overgrown with grass and weeds. There was even a RIP sign there which made it more creepy.

Wonderful experience!

My first visit was Memorial day weekend in 2017. Dock for boats, fishing area is very limited. Swimming area is a bit sad but I think it's mainly for the little ones. Small store. Since we went late in the season, there weren't very many items left in stock. We decided that it will be a yearly thing. We stayed at what we think is the best spot on the grounds. Right next to the creek where all you hear is the creek running past you. It muffled the noise from our camp neighbors up above us which was really nice at night. If you want a nice hot shower, bring quarters. I think it's 7 minutes per quarter.

Very busy campground and day use area.

Beautiful area

Dogs are NOT allowed at this campground at all unless it is a documented service animal. Lake is warm and gets crowded during the weekends with the day use visitors. Vaults are kept clean and there are a few potable water spigots in the campgrounds. There is only a total of 9 spots here. Reservation only but you may be lucky if there is a no show and that spot becomes a walk-in/first come first serve spot. Planning on another visit.

Nice and quiet!

This is where we start our camping season…on Mother's Day weekend! This is a small campground. Has a vault toilet but no potable water so bring your own. Each site does have a fire ring. Site 1 can hold about 2 RV's or 4 tents and possible 10 people. Site 2 is good for 1 RV or tent, Site 3 is closest to the river, tight fit for a RV but a small pull behind fits nice - could fit 2 tents. Site 4 and 5 is small. Site 6 can fit 4 to 5 tents or 1 RV/trailer. Taking a "Sunday drive" up and around is amazing! Great area if you have OHV's!
