We love this place. Our campsite was in Loop2 #37 right next to the bath house the bath house/shower was clean. We tent camped and the light from bath house super bright. The site itself had one perfect spot for our tent all the sites I believe have water, power, picnic tables, fire ring ours had good trees for our hammock several sites had hammocks. The lake is close within walking distance, but they’ve blocked road so if you wanna drive you got to drive all the way around ugh. A cart would be helpful. Sites are super close together so it’s not necessarily a quiet campground. The people next to us had 80s music blasting, but turned off around 8pm. I think if you had big RV some sites would be a challenge to back into. No sites pull through. For one night it was $37.40 I believe. There is no fishing allowed in this lake, but there is a walking trail to bear lake you can fish there but not swim. The water wasn’t as clear this year as last year. We went on a Friday and it wasn’t really crowded. The beach area was clean. There is a grass area on the side of the beach with shade and tables and grills people were arriving Saturday morning 7:30-8am to get a table for their group. They have the water sprayers to get sand off your feet and restrooms close to beach area. They should add a slide that would be awesome! No double floats allowed but single ones are. No dogs allowed anywhere so that kinda stunk my dog don’t bark all night and would love to go. There is a boardwalk through woods but it was too hot for me to be walking but I it goes to Bear Lake. Life guards were on duty.
Nice place with couple fishing lakes and creek. They do not allow you to bring your own floats, but tubing with theirs is $ 5 per person. General admission was $ 5 per person. They have canoes. Some nice shaded lots BIG need more signs. Clean beach area.
When we got here they said our site was LC10 but somebody was on it, but they said if somebody was on it pick a spot. So we got on C4 little shade from C2 all the really shaded lots are C7 on down. All tent/power sites are creekside I believe. Up on the end where we are is the “pool” area where tubing begins tubing was about 45-1hr to the end then they shuttle you back for tips. They have a store, bathhouse, laundry, toilet close to my site sites are close together. Fire ring on our site. Seen some dogs so pets welcomed. Should’ve brought my floats :( they aren’t renting because of corona virus $10 to buy one they were nice floats though. We ran to dollar general up the street. We had a great weekend will come back our site was $26.50 a night don’t see water faucets.
We stayEd in Lower campground lot # 66 it was a level lot with shade across and from bathhouse. The staff was super friendly and the bathrooms/showers in that area are the nicest, cleanest I’ve ever come across. The pool area was clean and they have a restaurant called cliff side I didn’t get to try but I’ll be back 100% this place is absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait until fall when the leaves change oh…. and the lake/ beach area was nice too!! It was $36 a night had sewer, water, power. It’s so quiet and peaceful there.
Staying on tent site #55 power/ close to water spout. Bathhouse really close by nice shady lot. Will try to book this one in the future :) bathhouse was clean considering more people last time I came it was off season and not the weekend was worried it would be too crowded. There are a lot more people in beach area but wasn’t too bad and the campsites are quiet and peaceful. No grill on site. Pool was closed due to corona virus still wanting to check that out.
We went camping for 2 nights stayed on lot A14 it’s my personal favorite (it’s a pull through level lot) it was $68. It was close to the bath house and the little beach area and fishing pier. The bath house was heated so nice and toasty in there. There was only one shower stall so don’t know if that would be issue when it’s busier. It had ok shower with super hot water be careful. The bathrooms were clean. We did some geocaching that was nice there was some good ones! Trees for hammocks not a lot of shade on the site but some behind the site. We went ahead and booked for some other future dates to make sure we got that site. Fire bundles were $8 it was quiet and peaceful when we went. Just the getaway we needed. ❤️
We got a tent site with power. Great price! Clean park, lake is always a good thing. Lights at camp ground kinda bright, but guess if I needed to go pee that would help lol. Lady working office was pretty nice and helpful. Has a little store can get almost anything you might need. Bath house shower had great hot water with good pressure. Felt safe here that’s important. I’d definitely come back. Probably next weekend lol the beach area had a lot of rocks! Probably due to water level low had to go buy some water shoes, but then it was all good.
Sure hate that they closed it up. They have a nice lake and pool. Said they might reopen in a year.
