Not sure what we were expecting, but it was not half bad. Lots of things to do if you have kids, but it stops there. Really no place to through anything away or walk the dogs. Space was great, and tons of room, but lots of construction noise.
Okay park with nice staff. Not to far of a bike ride to Cody. There is a bus that goes to the rodeo every night, but we stayed in the hot tub and pool. Cool little lake just up the road too. Great place to chill for a couple of days.
Fun stay, but very tight spots. Unfortunately, it was in the 90s and the pool was closed. So, that was a bummer. There was some great hiking and places for the dogs just up the hill. All in all, it was a good stay and I would have given it four stars if the pool worked.
Love this park, the people were great. The guests were friendly. There was a nice little trail to walk dogs. The only negative thing about the park was the wifi, very limited bandwidth. So, if you are working remotely, have a backup. The other thing I would be aware of is not related to the park, but there is no Uber there. So, if you are like us and only have bikes, be careful and wear a helmet! Not the best bike-friendly place, but if you have to it is a quick 30-minute ride downtown. I would totally recommend this park and will absolutely be back!
I would give this place a 5-star review based on how convenient everything was. There us a ferry 100-yards away that takes you to Wall Street M-F. There is a great market about 1/4 of a mile away, and the path that can take you to WTC or 33rd Street area is only a mile away.
However, it is just a gravel parking lot, with water and electricity. There is a dump station, but not the easiest to use. The laundry was not working properly and ate a good $5 of our quarters. We went to the office where the security guard told us that they cannot do anything and that we would need to come back when the office was open, we did that and they said they would look into it and call us back. No one did anything.
But, again if you are looking for a place to crash and hit up the city or Liberty Island, this place is great, just not 5-star.
This is a rockstar of a campsite. They have everything you need, minus an ATM. There is a general store with the normal gear. They have a pool and hot tub. There is a small, but very well-kept dog park. On top of all that there is pinball, Pac-Man, and pool table! But, if you want to stick with the normal stuff, they also have basketball courts, badminton courts, horseshoes, and tons more.
There is a trolly that will take you to the city for $2, but if you have a bicycle it is a quick 15-minute ride to the beach.
The city itself is super fun with lots of rides, good food, and you can even learn how to surf!
Great campground right on the lake. There is a nice nature trail that you can take the dogs on and a little beach to go do some swimming. The park itself is clean and has showers and restrooms.
When going here, make sure you have what you need. It really is a good 30-minute bike ride or a 15-minute drive to town, and in an RV be aware there are some low bridges in the area.
Overall a great experience and we will be back!
Okay campground, it it has everything you need. And if you are into climbing there are some amazing sandstone boulders that are totally worth checking out.
Great place. Near the bike trail and a quick ride to honeymoon island state park.
Great place, love the river. Fireflies every night and within walking/biking distance of a great little town with a coffee shop, brewery, and a few restaurants.
