Spacious site (#39)

Very few other campers on May 15, 2023 and we enjoyed the quiet.

Enjoyed hiking the easy trails with our dog.

Black flies just starting. 

Tics found us and dog.

Small KOA: very clean, lovely staff. 

As a drop-in with no reservation, we were lucky to get a spot with awesome concrete pad and patio furniture right beside the river. Stayed an extra night because we liked it.  We couldn't hear the road at all because of the high rushing spring river: perfect for sleep!

We enjoyed the paved bike bath all the way into Carbondale.  

Carbondale is a nice town with some good restaurants.

We also enjoyed playing pickleball in Carbondale with the friendly local club.  They have 8 outdoor courts with gorgeous (distracting for my game) views of the mountains.

Very clean. Friendly staff.

Few other RVs were there when we camped May 1, 2023.  They were doing a lot of work upgrading some sites with lovely concrete pads and gravel.

We couldn't hear the highway (with a brisk wind blowing the other way…)

Lots of sites, so I imagine it would be very packed in peak season.

Road our bikes around quite safely on paved/gravel roads nearby.
