Base camp for fishing Big Sandy. Stayed here several times in a tent and a trailer. Nice sites but surrounded by swampy areas so mosquitoes are thick.
Very clean, pay attention to north or south entrance. Have to drive on either end can’t cross the dam with a vehicle.
But firewood before hand as well.
Small and well maintained park as you would expect for a USACE site. Super clean bathrooms. Level sites and great views of the Mississippi.
Road noise from Hwy 2 is a downside.
Very nice place, well set up. It was super hot so the bathroom floors were sweating and wet But over all clean.
If you don’t have water it’s a bit of a pain but onboard tanks or jugs are doable.
Nice set up, some shaded sites, some open, would be great for a group stay. No issues is hookups. Very helpful camp host.
Small, nice campground. Good size sites but close together. Level trailer sites. many tent sites were not. Good mix of electric and non-electric.
Second time staying here and it was great. I didn’t get a lakeside spot like the previous stay but it was still great. Clean facilités. Wood and ice available onsite. Beach, boat ramp, dump station, and a great view.
This was nice place with great facilities. It was clean throughout, great responsive staff. Lots of activités for the kids and a shuttle to the ferry.
Beautiful place right on a gorgeous Sandy beach. Immaculate shower house with coin op laundry. Will visit again.
Nice place, large private sites, quiet.
Vault toilets, hiking trails, beach, boat launch. Great place to relax!
The campground itself was very nice with good size sites and lots of room. There are shaded or open sites nice trees, a store at the beach side of the campground.
The bathrooms were old and wet. The dump station was closed.
