This cg has a nice location not in the town area but close enough. We stayed here two nights but maybe wasn’t worth it. As there is no water and no showers. Bathroom is what you would expect from a pit toilet.
Major con would be ALL the bugs! Flies, mosquitoes and wasps 24/7 here. They were dead set on entering any tent we set up/entering our camper, grille of the car etc. It was kind of outrageous.
On the other hand the cg. is surrounded by cow pasture and the cows can come up really close to the campground. There are also coyotes and what sounds like bears at the fence line in the evening. At least during our stay we heard all three only seeing the cows close by. And there is little to no connection here incase you have to call for help for some reason.
Besides these things it is a very quiet place (maybe a little too quiet). It is first come, first serve. $16/night. We only encountered two other campers during our stay here. And had one night where the grounds were all ours. Probably a perfect place to crash for a night if you need a cheap place to be.
Most of the sites look level and are packed gravel but there are also more grassy areas for tent goers.
This campsite was awesome. I was worried it would be lacking privacy but I was wrong. We stayed on a Tuesday night. So not many people were there making it quite private depending on the site you reserve.
The showers and bathrooms are very clean! Sites were quite level as you are on concrete pad. The park next door is a must visit especially if you are camping with a dog, a great place to go for a walk.
Beautiful views, clean amenities and relatively quiet.
My only complaint might be how dirty the fire pits were. Previous campers left aluminum cans, cigarette butts, bloody/dirty napkins and cloths? It was a bit gross but we didn’t use the fit pit so no big deal for us.
Overall a nice place and would stay there again.
Nice place and no connection so make sure you have a photo of the park map before you get there.
The site I had was definitely smaller than I expected but it still worked. Make sure to double check that before you book.
Camp was relatively quiet. There was the occasional dog barking or kids playing but that is generally expected with a high number of campsites. The privacy of our site was pretty good and we had nice shade.
The bathrooms were relatively clean and accommodating.
Overall nice place, quiet and friendly campers and staff!
Only stayed for a night but it was very quiet and only a handful of other campers. All the sites seemed relatively level. Some of the electric hookups had damage but being able to choose your spot upon arrival helped. We arrived in pouring rain and had no issues with our campsite when we could see it in the morning lol.
Bathrooms and showers were relatively clean and accommodating.
Seemed a lot like a hidden gem and I definitely recommend. Especially if you have a dog. Across the street, the park portion of this campground has a dog park, playground, historical site and pond for fishing
FYI . Most of the sites seemed small so it might be best for smaller setups. Also I did not see any pull through sites.
