Great for fishing/boating

Had a guys weekend here with my Brother and my 4 year old son. Had a great time. Every park ranger we met was nice and helpful.

There is only one camping loop which connects to the marina/park area via a foot bridge. With camping you were granted boat launching access. There was a nice fishing pier and the Generals Trail which my son loved.

The campground itself was peaceful but there was a DJ playing all-day Saturday. The music echoed though out the entire park. Not ideal for a camping environment but still had a blast!

Uneven sites

We had trouble leveling our rig and almost had to buy more leveling blocks from the camp store for $60($28 on Walmart.com) We made it work without but we saw one of our neighbors use a cooler to support there stabilizer jacks that couldn't reach the ground🤦‍♂️.

This was a great weekend trip. We took River Riders down the river. The KOA has a foot path that leads there or a shuttle with scoop you up. We had a really nice site with the deluxe patio on the end of the row. It gave us plenty of room, however most sites were very crammed together.

We had some friends stay in a cabin which they enjoyed. The cabin was located back in the woods by the civil war trench and was pretty secluded.

Okay

A rather typical state part. Fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. The campground was fully booked for the weekend but the other areas weren't crowded as I've seen at other MD state parks. The pump out station was very nice.

Somethings I negatives about Tuckahoe: We lost power during a rain storm. The farm roads around the park are very bumpy. The Camp store has weird hours (I forgot to pack the bacon and ruined the trip!!!!) The site was tiny and right on the road.

Great State Park in SoMD

Just got back from a weekend trip there. It was a great State Park with fishing, trails, and boat docks. We stayed in the hoffman loop in our 20 ft TT. That loop was pet friendly, shaded, and right next to the playground.

The most sites were off the road and secluded. Ours was a little over grown and not a straight shot to the landing pad. Fire wood was well seasoned for $6/bx and ice $3/bg at the camp store.

Nice campground

We got a buddy site. It was nice to be door to door with our friends joining us. The campground was empty the last weekend in March. The campground is easy to get to. Our GPS took us through the battlegrounds which was a pleasant surprise on the way in.

The amenities were pretty standard. They did have 4 wheeler bikes that were free to rent.
