This place is nice. Ignore the negatives

This was a really nice place. Perhaps the price is higher than people were hoping for, but we were on the Shenandoah river with river access.

There is a pool though 2020 coronavirus means its not open every day, but not their fault. There are playgrounds and open fields and it is very nicely kept. The upper area does have lots a bit close so if you have an RV I recommend the back area right on the river.

It was nice

I recommend Seven Points Campground over Poole Knobs. Nothing wrong with it here, in fact our site had access to the lake in a semi-private sort of way. It was almost like we had our own beach. That said oir site was adjoining another and the RV hookups were a bit oddly placed. If we were traveling with others it would be cool to share a place, but it had sort of a semi-circle driveway. It was fine for us to get on and out, but if someone was in the adjoining lot it would have been a bit odd.

Overall its nice and well kept.

One of my favorite

This place is gorgeous. The lake view and night skies are amazing. The water is warm, which isn't something I'm used to being from further north, but the campsites are so nicely groomed and the place is pristine. I could stay here for weeks.

Definitely worth a stay

We loved it. Our site was right on Lake Erie. There was nothing except a drop of about 25' to the lake. There is lake access for swimming, boat launch and Jetsons etc. It was quiet and simple. We were there for 3 days and loved it. Internet is not very good if you need it go to the office. Not many people go camping to be connected though. I habe Verizon and the service is weak and spotty.

I'd recommend the place overall.

Good for a quick getaway.

Its pretty nice and has a water park as well. It has a lot of open space and also a river and hiking. Not a ton of other activities, but a great getaway. Its a but expensive in my opinion

Will always be my favorite

I grew up at Lake Adventure. We spent most summers up there from 1979 through 1996. I then bought my own place there in 2005 and only sold it because we moved to VA. Pool is great, The lake is nice though maybe not the most pristine (have to be honest). Its fun to walk around the lake and boat in it, but swimming is just a bit suspicious…though plenty do it. There is a clubhouse with a game room and lots of community activities. People make lifelong friends here and you will love it.
