Nice KOA

Only an overnight stop during a bigger trip but it seemed nice. They were accommodating to our late arrival and left a map and gate key at the office for the late arrivers. The site was level and easy to hook up to.

Glamping or camping

There are some nice tenting sites under the trees and off by themselves for the true campers, and for the rest of us glampers there are hookups and lots to do. The park is close to Washington DC and offers a conceirge service for tours and things to do. On site are pools, splash pad, rv supplies and repair parts, a snack bar and lots more. Look at the park map and try to get a site at the end of a row. The sites are pretty close together but on the ends at least you only have a neighbor on one side. The landscaping, trees and site placement does help the esthetics.

Nice and close to town

Nashville north koa was a nice campground with a proximity to Nashville but away from the bustle. We stayed for a week and enjoyed ourselves.

Great fishing lake

The lake has produced a lot of trophy fish, if that’s your thing. Otherwise it’s quiet and peaceful. We like to go just to chill and read out out in the woods.

Park on the Mississippi

Ok park and campground but not much to do unless you drive up to galena. We were eaten alive by chiggers when we sat out for awhile to relax

Nice park and campground

Normal Illinois state park. Not a lot of services but good size sites and peaceful. Lake with canoe rentals and fishing. Nice walking trails.

Great state park

I probably shouldn’t review the park because it’s busy enough as it is. But it is our favorite park and go to vacation spot. The lake had 2 beaches for swimming and a dog beach also. Canoe and row boat rental. Rock climbing and a variety of hiking trails in various degrees of difficulty. The town of baraboo is picturesque and had many things to do. All of 3 campgrounds have their own charm and we’ve stayed in all three.

Close to Chicago

Typical KOA. Spots are close together but also close to Chicago. Next door to the Wild West Town, which is great for kids. Also close to Illinois railway museum. Locked gate, but keycards are available if you go out.

Great place in Custer

Very nice family campground outside of Custer, SD. Not a lot for kids to do in the campground but the area is awesome. Good size sites that felt private and on the edge of federal land so wildlife and views are unobstructed. Owners were very friendly and helpful.
