Woke up to the Buffalo licking my tent, awesome experience. Coyotes yip at night, stars are beautiful. Showed up late and was able to set up camp and pay the next morning. Prettiest campgrounds ever
While the location and sites were beautiful, the staff were curt and not so helpful. We tried to find hiking paths but the map was completely useless, so we had to guess as to our directions. Poorly run, but nevertheless still a beautiful area
This campsite was so convenient. We stayed two nights and were able to go everywhere in the park. A great home base
Staff assisted getting us a campground last minute, so helpful. We were right on the river and were able to maneuver the campsite for our two tents. Bathrooms were clean and showers had hot water. Staff gave recommendations for rafting, sightseeing, etc. and office/store was filled with helpful items.
Was a great find driving into Jackson. Stayed multiple nights. First come first served basis, and can fill up quick. Well maintained lots, clean bathrooms, bear boxes, near the river, cell service spotty. Only downside is it’s a bit of a drive into town if that is your main goal. Otherwise it is a wonderful location with a great upkeeper, Pete!
Stayed at South Prong Tent Camping area, site 37. Star gazed at the Milky Way for hours. Heard coyotes yipping at night and the bison herd walked through our site around five in the morning. Was the most amazing experience to be so close and hear them. Front desk staff were very nice as well. 10/10 coming back soon to spend a long weekend.
