A very private site. The trees make it where you can’t see your neighbors. The updated showers are very nice.
Very nice and quiet state park. Clean restrooms.
The park rangers here are phenomenal and so helpful. It’s one of our favorite state parks to visit.
Site 30 is large and perfect for a kiddo to run around.
Very convenient to trails. The kids play area needed attention. The restrooms were very clean. Helpful staff lead us to our spot and helped us park.
We enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and gorgeous Mountain Views. The showers were clean and they did have laundry facilities. We enjoyed the small play area and the stream.
This state park only has 4 full hookup sites but they are private feeling. The tour of the civil war buildings is very cool.
We came in and spent one night to see a music recital at OSU. This was the perfect location. The campground is very clean. The campsites are gravel with a strip of grass. It’s not camping in the woods but it’s a perfect setup for town. The restrooms and showers were very nice and clean. There was a gathering room with sofas and a big screen and then a conversation area out on the patio. Overall it was well worth the money. It even has on site laundry.
We stayed there for three nights to explore Jackson Hole. It was perfectly situated. The back is where the campers are and it was nicely situated. The sites weren’t huge but they were big enough. I loved taking a shower in the showers there. They were so clean and it felt nice after being in Yellowstone for a week and a half to have a bit of luxury outside of our camper.
We had a large campsite that fit two large tents and 3 hammocks. The hiking was great and this place was very family friendly. You can also stay at the resort but we camped. The bathroom facilities were clean and well stocked. There was a nice lake with kayaks to rent and a sandy beach for the kiddos to play. The gift shop has a small restaurant and was stocked with many souvenirs and camping essentials. We made the choice to stay here over Memorial day weekend because we couldn't find anywhere else at the last minute. I am so glad we did because we will definitely go back. This place was gorgeous!
The lake was perfect and had a nice beach. We were able to rent kayaks and paddle boats. The hiking is not the greatest but it was easy enough for my toddler.
This is the closest place to us to go hiking. We absolutely love it here. Everything you could want is at your fingertips. We love the penitentiary hollow trail and the trail that leads to the backpacking camp sites. Both trails are fun hiking. It doesn’t feel like Texas at this park. So beautiful. My husband loves to climb and there are many opportunities to do different types of climbing here. You can repel or boulder at the Penitentiary Hollow trail. There are trails for horseback riding, mountain biking, and regular hiking trails. We hike here all year long and we have camped many weekends here as well.
Such a beautiful place to camp. Our campsite was wooded and overlooked the lake. We were able to fish, hike, and kayak. We got two large tents at our campsite and had plenty of room. The trees were also perfect for hanging out hammocks.
