It’s very gorgeous here, the beach and the mountains. So what this campground has plenty of clean restrooms, water, Wi-Fi, rv water and dump station, showers, and even a place to wash your dishes. They have a mini store and a burger joint. Plenty of campsites but very close together. At night it gets very windy gusting at 22mph. There is no hiking spots but only along the beach. The rest is private or federal property. I’d your lucky you get to see space x launch a middle like we did which was amazing.
We got there in dead of summer super hot no shade and the camp host was awful! Camp site 14-19 is home in not park next to as it says on the website. Bathrooms were gross the host never cleaned them while we stayed for a week. His method of cleaning was spray it with Lysol and close the door. Don’t go in the summer 100+ with no shade is just way to hot. Only thing I loved was being in the river
We went camping right before the snow storm and it was pretty cold but still so amazing. The staff are very friendly and let us know about the coyote lurking about and the big freeze warning and made sure we were gonna be warm enough. We camped just a few steps away from the lake, there were other campers there but the campgrounds are far enough away from each other. They have very clean restrooms and I didn’t even know they had free showers there as well. We were super close to all the awesome hiking spots and off-roading exploring. If your into rock climbing there are a bunch of cool places there in Holcomb valley.
Great dispersed campground for those looking for more nature and privacy. Great place to go atv or off roading. Nice little creek near by and hiking trails. Only bad thing is the vault restrooms are extremely nasty and smell even worse but overall everything else is good. No running water so bring your own water.
Next to a nice flowing river/creek with fishing available, tall pine trees with aspen trees hidden in between them are a gem. There are bear boxes which I suggest you use since there are bears around and we seen a couple of them in the campsite while camping, nice spot for you tents, picnic tables, fire pit and a clean and non smelly vault toilets. You are a lil close to your neighbors but it didn’t bother us non they were all nice.
