Good for a night or two

The campground was mostly empty on July 3rd & 4th. A pay ($25 a night) station is on the honor system. Bathrooms and showers are old but in working order. A few sketchy looking campers here that look like from the movies breaking bad. If you know what I mean. Good for a night or two only.

Hidden Gem

This campground has spacious campsites and not too far from a river. The river has soft Sandy bends, Perfect for swimming in. The campground has electric sewer and water. The restrooms were very clean here.

Swimming area

The campground for the most part is beautiful period there are a few pull through camp sites that can be difficult with a long trailer. It seems to be quite a few small bugs around here. But I haven't got bitten yet so I didn't think they are the biting kind. The only major complaint I would have is that restrooms aren't kept very clean.

Small campground

With only 20 sites, this Campground is small, but very peaceful with great views. Most sites are a tight Squeeze for larger campers.

Close to water

Close enough to walk to the ocean, stores close enough to drive to. Sites closer than I would like. I wish this county park would put a 2 week limit on your stay. Seem like lots of people stay several months, which it can Seen cluttered in some sites, plus hard to find available because some people stay so long.

Lots of trails

Few campsites, quite place to camp. Clean Showers and restaurant. Great, hiking and biking trails nearby.

Lots of snowbirds & full-timers

O Boy! This place has mostly snowbirds and full timers. The pool and other amenities are pretty nice. Some of their full timers need to clean their site up. I drew the short straw and was placed next to one of these persons. Honestly, it needed to be hauled off. The men's restroom was under construction, and I never did see anybody working on it. The Transits spots were tight. I had less than 6 ft between us after slides were out. And I think his Sewer hose was waking up.😝

Lots of tree Coverage

Jekyll Island Georgia is my favorite island of all time. The campground, however, can be tight with plenty of mossy oak tree covered lots. Which can leave your roof of your camper a mess? T-Mobile reception was good, with our booster on top of the camper. All restrooms and shower areas were very clean, even though some of them were pretty dated. Campground expansion has been stopped due to lack of workers. Overall, I would definitely come back here again.

More for the snow birds

Lots of year round full time people here. I would not consider this camping, it is more for snow birds who just want to be in warmer temperatures at an affordable price. So far, the 2 nights I have been here, I only saw one class B camper pull in. Lots of flooding when it rains. It seems like the transit spots are near the road, and you get road noise at night. The pool and hot tub area and where all the other activities are are clean and neat. Don't get me wrong there are some nice areas in the campground, but just not where I was put. What they didn't tell me when I came in was the one and only restrooms for the men's is under construction and can only use porta-potties. 😝. I never saw anybody working on the restroom. So looks like it's been that way for quite a while. Overall, I would not come back unless I had to.

Large campsite

Campsites were large and private. Quite area, would have loved to stay longer. Restrooms were clean

Hwy noise

The restrooms and showers were nice and clean. There was only one picnic table in a tent area, and it was not in good shape. The road noise and night made it difficult to sleep at night
