This place was awesome. Located just outside Fraser, CO. Easy to get to but far enough away to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Tons of hiking and biking right from camp. The camp host was amazing. She had tons of local knowlegde and was happy to talk about the area. I will be heading back as often as possible. In recent years the campground has been clear cut due to beetle kill. However, the lack of trees in camp allow one to see the beauty all around. The views now, weren't available before.
The views were great. Camp host was great too, very pleasant to talk to. Campground was clean and well maintained. Best suited for tents and small trailers. Also it is very close to the Mt Evans Lodge that has a restaurant and gift shop. The only draw back though, is its proximity to the main road. For being situated at a high elevation, it felt like I was much closer to the city. All night long cars went by. Next time I think I'll try to find something a little further into the woods.
