Not for Everyone

If you're a active, reservist, national guard, or retired military and desperate for a site with no other option then this might work for you for a day. Reservation can be made up to two months in advance but was able to stay for a night due to emergency situation prior to a white rafting trip the following day. Pets are not allowed anywhere in the facility but have potable water, internet access, toilets, showers. Cabins are also available which is probably nicer accommodation versus pitching the tent out. If you could avoid it, then do and plan well ahead.

Gazed on Bright Stars

This campsite is firstcome, first-served and the campground is at 4,300 feet (1,310 m) in elevation. It only have 31 sites and make sure you bring plenty of water since there isn't a single potable water in this site. It's a must for anyone who enjoys being away from big crowds but loves to take a hike, boulder or rock climbing.

Stunning Camp Site

I am glad we pitched in a tent instead of paying for the high price hotels in town. The campground have toilets, running water, and showers. You can hike back in town which is about 1/4 miles away from the site. This campground is easy access to the beach and well maintained by the staffs. The staffs can deliver fire wood, propane/fuel, water for a fair price.

Desert Heat

We went during the summer time so in with no surprise that we were able to just drive through the dozen open camp sites. It's almost like we had the deserted park all by ourselves. Easy access to hiking trails and lots of peaceful animals around the sites. Wonderful experience and amazing giant sculptures everywhere!

Into the Slab City

If you're a fan of the novel/movie "Into the Wild" then this place is absolutely a "must visit"!! The people are different in a positive way. Bring everything you will need since there isn't a store in the place. Every Saturday is the "Talent Show".

Peaceful and Very Quiet

We found a site just above the river for a peaceful and very relax few nights. This is the spot if you want privacy while enjoying sleeping under the stars.
