Right in Sturgis, close to everything 18 bucks a head, we had a pavilion that we shared with one other person. Water was close no power. Warm showers and friendly staff.
This is a quiet well ran facility. It has the best drinking water pumped from the mountain aquifers. Every building is relatively new and the showers, laundry and common building facilities are in top notch condition. The staff and the owner are genuinely friendly and have the best of attitudes about the grounds and one’s stay. I can’t say enough about how pleasant our 4 day stay was. It’s unique in that there is not the usual highway road noise we experience at most KOAs.
Very well maintained, bathrooms are clean and roomy. We’re here on their off season so it’s not crowded and we almost have the place to ourselves.
We enjoyed our two night stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. The place was impeccably maintained. Had a campsite get a bit rowdy with a few choice words and the staff was on it before anyone complained. Top notch place. A bit noisy at night from traffic but almost all campgrounds are.
It’s inexpensive, some sites have shade. It’s typical high desert camping.
The staff are top notch! Young energetic and as helpful as can be. Friendly service, the facilities are very clean.
The staff are really helpful. The hot springs bathing areas are nice. They have clothes optional and required areas. The showers are clean. The bathrooms are clean. They have a good camp store. We spent 5 nights here and loved it.
I have to change my review, we spoke with Wayne the day before either he is forgetful or doesn’t listen well. We are looking for tent camping and always state that upfront because many camping grounds don’t allow it. He told us yesterday that the office closes early 1:30 pm, but just pick a spot and pay the next morning. When ever I go to settle up at 1030. Am he had forgotten the conversation. We have to pack up n leave. So no tents.
The front desk ladies are friendly and fun. The campground is situated on a mountain side, beautiful view, cool breeze. Our campsite is shady and tent pad is lush grass. Not all Sites have trees but some do. Restrooms and showers are clean and nice. It’s quiet and peaceful.
While we were here there were a few other campers. We had one end to ourselves. We tried to camp inside of Big Bend but it was full. After checking out the camp grounds inside the park we were so happy that we stayed at Stilwell. The showers here are nice, the toilets are nice. The store is well stocked. They have gas, ice, lots of things one expects. Inside the park not much.
The tent area is well shaded, water at each site and power by the bath house. Bath house is concrete floors but the water is hot and the facilities sufficient. Love the live oaks and the manager John is a great guy.
The campsite is really nice, the picnic table is brand new. The bath house is as clean as the ours at the house. The grass was cut short and there is no mud. Plenty of shade nice river with a great trail to it. We love this place.
Clean restrooms, clean shower’s, no need for soap because the pressure from the shower head will blast the dirt and stink off your body!! Lots of shade, plenty of hiking trails.
The nicest and warmest bath house so far. The park is awesome. If one is near it’s a must stay.
Doing a bit of primitive camping. The sites are top notch. Away from any automobile noise. Porta Johns in the parking lot. Showers are a short bike ride away.
William is the on-site manager, he is a great guy that cares about the campground and the campers. Big pull throughs and the cost is 12 bucks a night! Power and water.
Friendly and clean. Permanent and travelers welcomed.
I would give it a better review except it’s 50$ a night for a tent. We’ve averaged 20-30 bucks for the same. Other than price it’s a good place to stop.
