Not happy about:
Promised wi-fi does not even appear as an available signal Toilet paper roll dispensers empty Grass 8" high No hot water at dishwashing sink Chess board not swept, neat
I thought the wildflowers were the greatest feature, and then we caught sight of an angelic band of pelicans just overhead on a migratory flight - a very moving sight I will never forget.
You can pay at the courthouse or just see the county commissioner who works at the maintenance shed at the park.
Dump station OOC until summer '24, but surprisingly pleasant campground otherwise.
Long ways from the caverns. Wifi is weak/slow/intermittent.
Was able to fill up her with fresh water. That and the bath/shower got us through two days here. Good wine, too.
No internet or cellphone capability unless you drive back near I-10.
13 sites, but so many people find other places to camp here that we did too. The next day, we noticed the rule that said you couldn't.
Playground and room to run. Checkout balls, horseshoes, etc. Swimming pools! Host a giant picnic here if you want.
The ground shakes as the waves crash into the sea wall.
Enough sites and dry camping is an option if full. Clean wash houses.
Hilltop. Narrow roads. Overpriced.
Fly your private jet here to golf or drive your RV. Golf course is off limits to campers (unless you're a golfer). The coast 4 miles away is amazing.
Commissary and PX within walking distance. Plenty of available sites, both h/u and dry.
Just driving here was worth the visit, but get out on the trails to really appreciate the diversity.
Good, hardworking hosts keep this place running and eco-friendly.
