Immediately entering the campground a kid (maybe early 20s) greeted us at our truck and showed us where to pull over for our paperwork. He escorted us to our site and made sure we had everything we needed as we set up. Beautiful views, spacious site and lots to do. They even had free kayaks/canoes for the lake
I usually wait until our camping trip is over to review, but this place is so great I had to post something. With only 1 other review we were skeptical about trying this place out, but we found one of our new favorite campgrounds. Mineral springs staff is very friendly and welcoming, the campsites are clean, maintained and ready for you upon arrival. Got a last minute spot on a Friday evening with privacy and amenities (usually you cant even find a tent spot during peak season on a Friday). Great place, we will be coming back often!
Miles and miles of country/forests surrounding pine acres, however pulling in you’ll soon realize how much goes on inside the campground. AWESOME pools (very kid friendly), parks, dog park, hiking trails and even sections off of the trails to find your own private beach on the water. Went there in a tent rather than our camper, which turned out to be better. Tent sites were very dispersed and way up on the top of the mountain. Camper sites seemed a little close but worth the sacrifice due to the incredible environment. On the more expensive side but worth the money if you have kids. Another big plus was the abundance of wood to get from fallen trees (not having to pay for the expensive bundles at the store) and the size of the fire pits
Most amazing weekend with tons of woods (privacy is huge for us). Very friendly guests and staff! Amazing weekend with lots of fun for the kids and even the dogs! We’ve been to campgrounds with playgrounds worse than the waters edge dog park. Every one of us had a great time with the perfect campsite deep in the woods (still able to park my 26’ camper trailer). Swimming pool, great playground, among lots of trails and wooded area surrounding almost every site. Best camping weekends we’ve ever had have been at Waters Edge.
Campground is crowded and filled with older crowd that seem like they live here. Had almost nothing to keep kids entertained other than swim in a frog pond that was about 3-4 feet deep. Our “fire pit” was an 18 inch truck rim. Lots of woods but all around the campground but basically a camper city. Looked for a site that was off the beaten path, ended up directly in between the main road and a walking path. Constant traffic with people that wouldn’t make even make eye contact never mind waving or saying hello. Miserable weekend, totally not worth the $100. Unfortunate because the staff was extremely friendly and helpful
